The Stop Killing Games movement has distanced itself from the manifesto published by the alleged group behind last night’s GTA 6 leak, and cast doubt on their motivations. Yesterday, two videos showing apparent GTA 6 gameplay, and an image reportedly of the complete map, hit the internet. Rockstar also locks some content behind the more expensive $100 Ultimate Edition of GTA 6, which has also sparked some criticism. In April this year, Rockstar confirmed company information was accessed as part of a third-party data breach, but it insisted the incident had “no impact on our organization or our players.” Assuming the GTA 6 leak is legitimate, it comes just days before the release of Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look, which is a timed Netflix exclusive.
