European football nations could pull out of the World Cup amid talks of Gianni Infantino selling parts of FIFA to private investors. All 55 EUFA countries have reportedly now agreed to the boycott. The 2026 World Cup was not without controversy, from allegations of corrupt referees to overpriced tickets leaving fans struggling to access games. However, Infantino has also more recently stated that those who buy into the plans at this early stage (before September 19) will be rewarded with $40 million for signing up, whereas those who refuse will only get $10 million down the line.
