Star Stable Entertainment reduces workforce by 20% to secure long-term future of its multiplayer horse adventure RPG Interim CEO says by "reducing operating costs and refocusing resources," Star Stable will be in the "best possible position to adapt and grow" Swedish developer Star Stable Entertainment has laid off 20% of its employees following a restructuring program. In a statement on LinkedIn, interim CEO James Watkins said "this step is necessary to secure the long-term future of Star Stable." The developer is known for its multiplayer role-playing horse adventure game Star Stable Online. "Making this decision was incredibly challenging and does not diminish the contribution these team members have made," said Watkins. Nordisk Games owns 57% of the developer, having previously purchased a "substantial minority" share – estimated to be $17 million – in the company in May 2018, followed by a 40% stake later that year.
