Fans were treated to a new Final Fantasy 7 Revelation trailer at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live showcase, where we saw more of The Weapons, a submarine combat section, and more. The trailer opens up with Rufus Shinra sharing a public service announcement on the Shinra News Network regarding the looming Meteor and the Weapons, assuring citizens that humanity will “reign supreme” over these obstacles. We get to see one of these Weapons wreaking havoc on Shinra soldiers, as well as special shots of the Ruby Weapon, Emerald Weapon, and the Ultima Weapon. Spring 2027 is still the ongoing release window for the game, which will release simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox PC.
