Pearl Abyss has announced Crimson Desert Enhanced: a new update for the massive open-world game bringing new story moments to the game. During Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 Pearl Abyss unleashed a new trailer for Crimson Desert. Alongside the story changes, Pearl Abyss announced an "expanded voice over" with German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese options being made available, as well as Arabic subtitles and UI. Crimson Desert did so well that developer Pearl Abyss reported 94% increased labor expenses due to "performance bonus payments" made to 1,035 employees
