After The BioWare Shutdown, Mass Effect Spiritual Successor Exodus Gets A New Look

In the wake of the news that EA has closed down BioWare and ended development on Mass Effect 5 , Archetype Entertainment—co-founded by former BioWare devs Chad Robertson, James Ohlen, and Drew Karpyshyn—has given players a brand-new look at its upcoming title, a very Mass-Effecty sci-fi RPG called Exodus . Specifically, Archetype has revealed a visual rework of its male player-character model. When GameSpot previewed Exodus in late August, the male version of protagonist Jun Aslan could be seen sporting a five-o'-clock shadow and very different bone structure. We’ve got something special cooking for her reveal, and we think it’ll be worth the wait." Exodus launches on April 7, 2027 and is available to wishlist now on the PlayStation Store , Xbox Store , Steam , and the Epic Games Store .
