Netflix and Rockstar Games finally debuted their “extended look” at Grand Theft Auto VI. Tencent's ambitious attempt to build a rival to Grand Theft Auto appears to be floundering, as Last Sentinel developer Lightspeed LA has laid off 80 people following the publisher's loss of confidence in the project. If you're not familiar with Last Sentinel, that would be forgivable. The cyberpunk open world has been in development for six years and was announced at The Game Awards in 2023. But doubts began to circulate about the state of the Last Sentinel after a suite of promotional videos published last year failed to show any footage of the game itself.
