Following the huge success of Backrooms, a sequel is officially coming to the big screen, being directed once again by Kane Parsons. Based on the iconic viral Reddit creepypasta, Backrooms was originally an urban legend that highlighted an endless labyrinth people can accidentally go to when ‘nocliping’ out of reality. Following that popularity, it was turned into a hugely successful horror film, becoming A24’s highest-grossing movie ever back in June 2026. In fact, it had such an impact that producers across Hollywood began searching for other viral creepypastas or legends on Reddit for their next films – with Sirenhead slated as the next release.
