The Women’s Baseball League will feature a woman who was born without a right hand after Britt Apgar signed for Los Angeles. Apgar signed up for trials back in early 2025 and forgot she even did so before being invited along to Nationals Park to show what she could do. After an intense training schedule to get up to standard, Apgar did enough to stand out among over 600 players at tryouts and was selected by Los Angeles during the draft in November of last year. Britt Apgar will play pro baseball without a right hand Apgar has had to wait for her moment to shine, though, with the new Women’s Pro Baseball League not starting until August 2026.
