The New York Knicks have admitted it was a “mistake” to send staff a phishing email about their NBA Championship rings over cybersecurity concerns from owner James Dolan. When the New York Knicks finally won their first NBA title in 53 years back in June, lifelong fans and staff members might have been expecting to get their hands on a ring alongside the likes of Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns. “The company is gifting more than 275 championship rings and jewelry to players, coaches, employees and other members of the Knicks family, worth more than $3.7 million, in recognition of their contributions and celebrating this achievement,” an MSG spokesman told The New York Post. These can cost between $1,700 and $2,100, and come with your favorite pocket monsters on them.
