A raccoon has gone viral after its paw was spotted reaching through a hole in the stands during an MLB game to grab peanuts discarded by crowds in the stands. The animal was discovered at Citi Field during the New York Mets’ game against the San Diego Padres on August 19, when fan Scott Reynolds and his family noticed the limb squeezing through a small opening near their seats. They had been eating peanuts and dropping the shells on the ground when a paw suddenly appeared and began feeling around for food. Fans feed the Raccoon with a whole hot dog Reynolds captured footage of the animal reaching blindly through the opening and grabbing whatever food was placed within reach.
