"Console storage and memory prices have increased by more than 2.5x and we expect another doubling by the fall of 2027," the company said in a blog post. Microsoft also reported a $1.7 billion decline in Xbox revenue in 2026, with hardware sales dropping 29% year-on-year due to lower console sales.
