NIS America shared a roadmap that shows the developer will continue to update horror farming game Village in the Shade after launch with DLC and free patch content like more animals as livestock options and extra scenario and story events. The first two of these new additions will appear at launch and be free. It also shared a trailer teasing music found on the Sounds from the Shade two-CD soundtrack in the Village in the Shade Limited Edition. Village in the Shade will come to the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, and PC on October 27, 2026, the first free content update will appear at launch, DLC will debut in 2027, and the Sounds from the Shade soundtrack is in the Limited Edition.
