Kennedy has crossed the threshold into middle age in Resident Evil Requiem, but like the series he’s become the poster child for, he’s aged like a damn fine wine. The ninth entry in Capcom’s zombie-slaying series is a tale of two halves. Unlike 2021’s Village, which attempted to make survival and action-horror work in a single campaign, Capcom decouples the styles and hands them off to Requiem’s dual heroes. For Leon, it’s a fitting exploration of the guilt he’s carried with him since the original Raccoon City incident, making Requiem feel more like a direct sequel to Resident Evil 2 than 3 ever was.

Return to Part 1: Dumpster Diving Continued from Part 49: One More to Go! Carrying on in Part 51: It’s Not Easy Being Green Return to Part 1: Dumpster Diving [https://icculus.org/~hamish/retro/part50.html](https://icculus.org/~hamish/retro/part50.html) Last edited by Hamish on 9 Feb 2026 at 8:01 pm UTC For me, CtP is THE best Civ ever made: There are so many amazing game concepts which totaly ouclass basically anything ever implemented on any of SM Civs, that any SM Civ I played was just too boring for me (maybe with the exception of Civ V). I hope it's not true because it would be depressing to wait for over a year for Quake 2 and Ultima Online: 1994 Doom, Doom 2 1995 Abuse, SimCity 1996 Inner Worlds, Quake 1997 Nothing? I thought that LinCycles from 1996 was a commercial title, but a comment from the author is odd, and I have some doubts: https://happypenguin.altervista.org/sheet.php?gameid=57 Quoting: HamishOn a separate but related tangent, whether Call to Power was the first or second Linux game to be sold at retail is somewhat muddied by the fact that Macmillan Publishing announced their boxed Quake releases on May 13, 1999 (my fifth birthday) while Call to Power did not start shipping until May 15, 1999 despite being announced months earlier.I don't know it.

Take-Two CEO says "generative AI tools are driving costs and time efficiencies" but that its "worlds are handcrafted" Strauss Zelnick on hand-crafting GTA 6, embracing AI, taking NBA 2K global and supporting Borderlands 4 It's been a difficult week for Take Two Interactive. CEO Strauss Zelnick will be hoping that the company's Q3 financial results, released today, will help to turn that round: total net bookings of $1.76 billion and GAAP Net Revenue of $1.70 billion, which exceeded both the upper limit of previous guidance and Wall Street expectations. It was driven by the ongoing revenue engine that is its Zynga mobile division, along with better-than-expected consumer revenue from NBA 2K (up 30%) and GTA Online (up 27%). It's up 19% year over year, that vastly exceeded our expectations and has turned out to be a highly accretive transaction." This was driven by robust growth in revenue from the company's stable of mobile games, lead by match-three title Toon Blast, up 43% YoY, and Match Factory, up 17% YoY.
Strauss Zelnick: "Generative AI has zero part in what Rockstar Games is building" with GTA 6 But "generative AI tools are driving costs and time efficiencies" across Rockstar and other studios in the business Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has told GamesIndustry.biz that the company is making extensive use of AI and "always has", but said it was deployed in tools rather than creativity, and "generative AI has zero part in what Rockstar Games is building" for GTA 6. He was speaking ahead of the release of the company's Q3 financial results, which followed a week in which the company's stock price plunged to an 11-month-low following Google's announcement of experimental AI "playable world" tool Project Genie. He'd previously told CNBC that “there is no creativity that can exist by definition in any AI model, because it is data-driven." "On the topic of AI, I've been enthusiastic since the very beginning," he told GamesIndustry.biz. That's what makes great entertainment." The company's last earnings release in October 2025 was headlined by GTA 6 being delayed for the second time, to a new date of November 19th.
