3, Super Mario World и New Super Mario Bros.
Inside Buckshot Roulette developer Mike Klubnika's terrifically nasty horror universe of post-Soviet malaise Atrocity exhibition. In Mike Klubnika's growing oeuvre of brilliantly deplorable games, the same elements tend to recur. Across three excellent games in almost as many years - 2023's Buckshot Roulette, 2025's S.p.l.i.t, and 2026's Machine Party - Klubnika has remixed each of these elements with design verve and stylistic aplomb. Klubnika's desktop PC, then, was both a creative instrument and portal into exotic worlds and taboo-feeling media: Klubnika remembers pirating the edgy top-down shooter Hotline Miami when he was 10 or 11 years old before discovering the music of Aphex Twin in one particularly strange level of the Half-Life multiplayer mod Sven Co-op.
With Minecraft and Diablo shows already on the way, Netflix reportedly offered Xbox $500m for a bigger film and TV deal Pulled a 360. A deal between Netflix and Xbox has supposedly fallen through because of one minor quibble: Netflix wanted to adapt the console maker's games for $500m, not $800m. That's according to Puck News' Matt Belloni, who reports that Netflix offered Xbox $500m to exclusively licence the company's games and turn them into streamable films or TV shows for the next seven years. Xbox supposedly asked the streamer for $800m to sign off on the same deal.
After suing a former Reddit moderator in October 2025 for pirating Switch games , a Washington court has ordered the individual in question to pay Nintendo $4.5 million in damages. According to a September 25 TorrentFreak report , US District Judge Lauren King ordered former r/SwitchPirates moderator James "Archbox" Williams to cough up $4.5 million in damages to Nintendo after the company accused him of operating several pirate shops to illegally decrypt and distribute Switch games to the public. The lawsuit, which was filed in a Washington federal court in June 2024, stated that Williams had been running this racket since at least 2019, using "circumvention device" software to bypass the company's systems and gain access to over 30 Nintendo Switch games. In one screenshot saved by TorrentFreak , Williams called himself a "pirate" in a Reddit thread, clarifying that he--and others like him--won't "give Nintendo $50 for a game" when there are "months of releases unavailable anywhere." It's a bit like that I Think You Should Leave skit , where Tim Robinson, in a hot dog suit, drives a hot-dog-shaped car through a suiting store and is "looking for the guy who did this." Both Judge King and Nintendo know the guy who did it, and they want him to pay a lot for his actions.

Legendary Nintendo fellow Shigeru Miyamoto says that he doesn't play video games anymore except for when his grandkids come over. The veteran game designer is well known for his multiple hobbies outside of gaming, and has previously said he looks to hire those who have interests other than video games. In an interview with Famitsu that's been translated by GamesRadar+, Miyamoto talks about his current gaming habits. When asked if he plays the Nintendo Switch he says, "well, I don't really play games by myself anymore," with a slight chuckle.
Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto is on the long list of developers not planning on taking their hard-earned retirement when given the opportunity. When Metal Gear Solid developer Hideo Kojima turned 60 a few years back, he pledged that he will never retire, while Bethesda's Todd Howard recently said that he used to think about what his retirement would look like, but no longer does after seeing the work being done at the studio. Speaking to Famitsu (via Nintendo Everything), Miyamoto was asked if there is anything he is especially eager to pursue, and outside of saying "I would be happy if I could start a movement where 'everyone and their dog' joins in," he admits: "There's nothing that I feel like I'm going to see through to the end." Latest Videos FromGamesRadar+ Miyamoto also adds: "My family is telling me, 'Isn't it about time you stopped?'" Famitsu then asks if he hopes to be doing the same thing he's doing right now in 10 years time when he'll be 83 years old, and Miyamoto responds: "Yes, that's right. The feeling of 'I hope we can keep going' fits perfectly." He appears to refer to the making of The Legend of Zelda movie when he says: "On set, we say things like, 'It wouldn't be surprising if I collapsed tomorrow, so make sure you're OK (laughs).' I just hope we can keep going without any problems." And granted, Miyamoto's role at Nintendo has changed somewhat significantly, with the last game he was credited with a director role being Super Mario Run 10 years ago (and his last original concept credit being Super Mario Maker the year prior).
Palworld's head of publishing and communications, John 'Bucky' Buckley, has promised players that Palworld will always be playable, as, at its core, it's not a live service game. The creature-collecting survival-crafting game has seen a resurgence of players since it left early access on July 10, 2026. Palworld is by no means a single-player game, and the majority of players use at least some of its online functions. Palworld 1.0 has already moved over 1.8 million copies for Pocketpair, analyst estimates, with 65% of players on Steam
