The card collecting community is in an uproar after two dog breeders were caught offering to trade their French Bulldog puppies in exchange for Pokémon cards, highlighting a growing issue within the space. One such breeder shown on a live stream at a convention and posted online by PICKLEQW33N, a trading card collector with Crimson Card Co. French Bulldogs seem to be the prime target for this particular trend, as a seller with B&B Collectibles was also approached by a customer offering to trade a fluffy French Bulldog puppy in exchange for cards, or sell it for a whopping $10,000. I got $12,000 in New Jersey,” the collector said.
Valve had next-gen VR 'headsets ready three, four years ago and they were big, bulky devices' but went back to the drawing board after actually putting them on The versatile Steam Frame's focus is "on being lightweight and being comfortable". The Steam Frame is here and it's one of the best VR headsets I've ever had attached to my face, just don't ask me about the price. But when we spoke to two of the people at Valve who helped create the device—Joy Lyons and Jeremy Selan—they told me the company actually had its new VR headsets ready years ago, but they made the tough decision to pull the plug on those designs. And so, for me personally, that's when sort of a switch flipped in my head, and I was like, 'This is going to be a real thing'." Steam Frame: Valve's new wireless VR headset Steam Machine: Compact living room gaming box Steam Controller: A controller to replace your mouse Dave has been gaming since the days of Zaxxon and Lady Bug on the Colecovision, and code books for the Commodore Vic 20 (Death Race 2000!).
Those years of Valve’s benign neglect of VR make the imminent release of the $1,059 Steam Frame—which starts taking reservations today—more than a little surprising. The Frame even sports fancy extras like eye-tracking for effective foveated rendering in the center of your vision and an SD card slot for expanded storage (you can also splurge for a $1,299 Frame version that upgrades the internal storage from 256GB to 1TB). But the relatively weak Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in the Frame means the games are limited to relatively undemanding 2D titles or older 3D titles (Portal 2, anyone?) Even a game like Returnal, which can hit a “Playable” 30 fps on the aging Steam Deck, managed a paltry 9 fps in benchmarks on the Frame at 720p “Low” graphics settings. Late to the party For most players, it’s hard to recommend the $1,049 Steam Frame over a $599 Meta Quest 3 (or even a $349 Quest 3S for the more budget-minded).

For nearly three weeks, I’ve been testing the limits of Valve’s Steam Frame, the company’s new wearable PC. At $1,059 with 256GB of storage or $1,299 for 1TB, it costs two to three times as much as similar-looking headsets from Meta. Steam Frame The Good - Lightweight and comfortable to wear - Precise wands double as a full gamepad - Plays so many games so many ways - Included 6GHz dongle allows short-range PC streaming even if you have questionable Wi-Fi The Bad - Doesn’t feel like a finished product - Crashes, bugs, other assorted instability and inconsistencies - Not enough performance for many standalone games - Short battery life of one to two hours - Some audible fan noise The Steam Frame is primarily a gaming device. You can effortlessly add color passthrough to the Frame if you want, by the way — Arcturus, which helped build the Frame’s entire vision system, is now selling a perfect-fit 5K60 10-bit HDR stereo camera for $150.
Blizzard say Battle.net isn't looking to fight Steam and Epic for supermassive storefront supremacy, despite recently nabbing The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 "It's a much more focused approach" No siree. It's arguably a bit of a weird thing for a publisher with Diablo and World of Warcraft in their arsenal to say, but that's the stance Blizzard are sticking to with their storefront Battle.net, even though it now boasts two big CD Projekt Red RPGs. "We're obviously not out there trying to do the Steam or Epic Game Store thing," Blizzard senior vice president Andrew Guerrero told Polygon in an interview at this year's BlizzCon, where the company announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will be joining The Witcher 3's upcoming remaster on Battle.net. Read this next - The Witcher Remake is currently on the back burner because progress on it depends on The Witcher 4's development, CD Projekt Red confirm - Cyberpunk 2077 launched when it did because its devs wanted it "out the door" says CD Projekt Red CEO, but I wonder if he forgot about that reported mandatory crunch - The Witcher 3 Remastered includes work from a top modder, as CD Projekt Red follow the path they walked with the RPG's next-gen update
A woman from California has revealed that she was paid $120,000 to carry a baby that ended up being for Chinese video game billionaire Xu Bo. There are plenty of reasons why people choose to go down the surrogacy route when it comes to having a child. On the flip side, surrogates can often make some money from deciding to carry a child for nine months, provided they’re not just helping a friend out. Speaking to CBS News, the woman – who has been named only as Judy to protect her identity – has her own seven-year-old, and after spotting the ad for $120,000, she decided that it could help her find a home for her own family.

Ubiribo, a 43-year-old British-Nigerian businessman with more than 180,000 Instagram followers, died in Thailand on March 6 after receiving hyaluronic acid penis filler injections. He was taken to hospital but lost consciousness before doctors could perform a CT scan.
Diablo 5 in 2029, Starcraft in 2030. Over the weekend, veteran studio Blizzard hosted its annual BlizzCon fan event and announced two new games: Diablo 5 and an open world StarCraft shooter. The former is coming in 2029 while the latter is slated for 2030, so from a home-system perspective, these are next-gen games that'll be targeting the next set of consoles from Sony and Microsoft. Native versions for Xbox Helix are a given since Blizzard is now owned by Microsoft, but what about PS6?
Discussing 20 years of Company of Heroes with the team carrying its torch into the future "I'm really pleased that we're here, able to support the games, and able to celebrate this 20th anniversary." I still remember the PC Gamer cover from October 2006 featuring Company of Heroes as the vanguard of the "RTS Revolution." This was back in the day that I would walk down to the local grocery store to grab each new physical issue off of the news stand. I was already failing trigonometry. After the announcement that Dawn of War 4 was being developed by German studio King Art Games—I was later told Relic passed on it as they simply didn't have the bandwidth to take it on alongside other ongoing projects, mostly related to Company of Heroes—I was wondering if there even would be a Relic anymore. But in the meantime, they have split from Sega and become independent again. 2026 games: All the upcoming games Best PC games: Our all-time favorites Free PC games: Freebie fest Best FPS games: Finest gunplay Best RPGs: Grand adventures Best co-op games: Better together Leana Hafer is a freelancer and lifelong PC gamer with a specialty in strategy, RPGs, horror, and survival games.
