It’s hard to make an Xbox controller that stands out these days, especially one that’s expensive, due to a wealth of great semi-affordable options. Still, 8BitDo’s $150 Ultimate 3E is a bold controller that holds its own against other feature-packed options. It’s made for Xbox and PC gamers who want a deeper level of customization and a more refined design than Microsoft’s pricier Xbox Elite Series 2 and 8BitDo’s own $60 Ultimate 2. Assuming you’re not content with the solid but basic Microsoft model that’s around $50, it seems unwise to commit to spending well over $100 on one given the increased frequency of Xbox Elite Series 3 leaks.
After news broke that EA would be shutting down BioWare , more details on the studio's in-development Mass Effect have begun to trickle out. A trailer for Mass Effect Universe hinted that the next game in the series would have a completely different tone, moving away from the galactic warfare that defined the first three games and toward covert ops, espionage, and the occasional barroom shootout. Gaming content creator and YouTuber Dantics has shed more light on the game, describing it as a Mass Effect game for the fans. https://youtu.be/ZOWrTNazZxM Dantics says that Mass Effect Universe was set over 600 years after the Reaper War, and players would step into the boots of a customizable N7 agent.
With the recently released Control Resonant, Remedy Entertainment returns to its weird Control universe of teleporting toy ducks, nightmarish creatures, and explosive action, all of which is grounded by a deeply personal central story. But when considering its predecessor, Control, I was struck by just how much this sequel not only differs from the first game, but deliberately inverts or twists what players previously experienced--much as the central Big Bad does to the entire borough of Manhattan. Control Resonant begins with our protagonist Dylan, barefoot and in dire need of a shave, awakening from a seven-year coma. With his sister--the series' former main character, Jesse Faden--missing and Control's Oldest House now a crime scene of corpses, Dylan finally leaves the building he’s been imprisoned in for over two decades.
