Going Medieval's new diplomacy update is all about calling your neighbouring settlements for favours, which yes, may mean delivering a cow or two in return The old timey version of asking for a cup of sugar Going Medieval may have been in early access for almost five years, but even after it arrived in 1.0 back in March developer Foxy Voxel have continued to build upon it. The sim's latest update has arrived today, bringing with it a whole bunch of diplomacy. But I suppose sometimes there are some benefits to such a thing. So, in Going Medieval, you've got 12 NPC factions that are divided up into six faction types.
One of the biggest surprises of the year was the reveal of Diablo V at this year's BlizzCon. Sure, we'll have to wait until 2029 to get our hands on it, but take that decade-long wait cycles for new Diablo games! After sharing a first look at the game, Blizzard took the opportunity to talk about the improvements they’re making to Diablo V's gameplay design based on feedback from Diablo IV. Chief among them: the return of procedurally generated dungeons and worlds.
With a spring 2029 release window, Diablo 5 is still a ways off and presumably early in development, and as such there's a lot we don't know about it. We know it takes place about 100 years after Diablo 4 and that it won't have towns or safe zones outside of a Baldur's Gate-style caravan of traveling companions, but most of the sequel's core design pillars remain a mystery. Chiefly, we know next to nothing about how combat will work in Diablo 5, and considering Diablo games are almost exclusively about clicking demons to death, the ARPG community is waiting eagerly for more details. Waiting right there alongside us is Chris Wilson, Grinding Gear Games co-founder and original Path of Exile designer.
