As an OG Crazy Taxi lover, its new remake might just not be crazy enough Not ya ya ya ya ya, I fear. I've played just about every damn iteration of Crazy Taxi there is. My first exposure to it was the PlayStation 2 EyeToy version included in Sega Superstars, which involved me wildly gesticulating and yelling in order to get Axel's attention. Yes, for some reason you are the passenger in the EyeToy version of Crazy Taxi.
After Sony tells fans they don't own digital games, one Consumer Rights group is tracking all the times PlayStation said the opposite Own goal. Last month, Sony argued that "reasonable consumers" already know they don't really own the digital goods they paid for. The Consumer Rights wiki has now made a list collecting more than 30 examples where Sony told customers they do, in fact, own the digital games they paid for. (You know, the links to the company's Terms of Service and Software Product Licensing Agreement that show up just before you pay for something on the PlayStation Store.) Seemingly in response to those arguments, the Consumer Rights wiki has now created a "non-exhaustive table of references on Sony's site to 'owning' digital games." The list includes more than 30 occasions in which Sony's site has said something along the lines of, "View a broadcast for a game you own through the game's hub," or, "If you own the PS4 and PS5 versions of the same game, here's how to switch between them…" One of the more recent examples can be found in Marvel's Wolverine's FAQ section: "Standard Edition owners can also upgrade to the Digital Deluxe Edition content." The lawsuit claimants said Sony was in breach of a California Law that made it "unlawful for a seller of a digital good to advertise or offer for sale a digital good to a purchaser with the terms 'buy,' 'purchase,' or any other term which a reasonable person would understand to confer an unrestricted ownership interest in the digital good." (Reasonability doesn't seem like something you could measure in court, but I digress.) A digital vendor can get around the law by giving customers clear information about the licenses they're paying for.

However, I decided to give an adapter similar to the versions you see for $13.99 at Amazon a shot, and it got the job done with zero visual nonsense. On that note, you can pick up GTA San Andreas on PS2 for around $20 these days, and if you've not got an old console to play it on, you can grab one for under $80. You can still help the old system feel nice and fresh by learning how to use new controllers with retro consoles, as if you grab an 8Bitdo Retro Receiver for $24.99, you can sync up a DualShock 4 or even the DualSense to your 26-year-old machine.

A few hours into Wolverine I found myself asking, “Why did Insomniac Games make this?” There are obvious answers, of course: It has three excellent Spider-Man games under its belt; it's an opportunity to expand its Marvel Universe; and Wolverine presents ample opportunities for a brutal and bloody action game. But none of that explains why Insomniac Games , specifically, made Wolverine. Spider-Man is an ideal fit for the studio: an energetic and dynamic hero in the hands of a team known for open-worlds that are sprawling jungle gyms, where it can let players loose with thrilling traversal mechanics and varied combat systems for crime fighting fun. Insomniac also excels at crafting narratives that are as earnest as they are dramatic--perfect for the tumultuous lives of Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
Zombiepunk action RPG Stupid Never Dies is a vibrant feast for the eyes, ears, hands and teeth, even if it is a smidge overwhelming Punk’s undead It's hard to know where to start when talking about Stupid Never Dies. An action RPG built on style, excess and punk ideology. I mean, within the first minutes of my demo starting, I am flushing undead protagonist Davy down a toilet in an abandoned shopping mall to arrive in a hellish arena. Davy, one of very few survivors (can you call a zombie a survivor?) of a worldwide apocalypse, makes his way through and further down into the underworld, all in the hope of reviving his crush Julia — a gorgeous girl who happens to already be frozen to death.
At the heart of any PC setup is your monitor. For those tight for space, the 27” LG UltraGear evo GM9 (27GM950B) Hyper Mini LED 5K monitor. The “hyper” referring to the improvements in dimming zones (2,304) and LEDs (9,216) over a traditional Mini LED monitor (1.5x and 5.9x respectively). Historically, ultrawide means sacrificing resolution, but the GX9 doesn’t compromise with its 5120x2160 (5K2K) resolution at 143ppi.

Italian YouTuber Mike ShowSha got to visit Rockstar ahead of the company’s big GTA 6 Netflix showcase, where developers told him that overeager fans were literally measuring the oxygen levels around their campus in anticipation for a new trailer. Back in June, a GTA superfan went viral for supposedly measuring oxygen levels around the Rockstar North campus. Update: He started monitoring oxygen around Rockstar North, and he believes Trailer 3 is coming soon after noticing that oxygen levels dropped to around 20.3% and 20.04% after 5 PM, suggesting increased oxygen consumption in the area after normal working hours. “I mean, it's pretty smart, but think about what people would do if they really want something.” Grand Theft Auto 6 finally launches on November 19, 2026, when it will officially put the ‘We got [XYZ] before GTA 6’ memes to rest.

"Sometimes you need fresh perspectives" – How external development helped Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Crystal Dynamics on the working relationship with Polish studio Flying Wild Hog, and why tank controls aren't coming back in the remake A hands-off demonstration of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis at Gamescom last week showed that the game is far from a simple remaster of the 1996 original; it's a complete reworking of Lara Croft's first adventure. Crystal Dynamics has handed over the development reins to Polish studio Flying Wild Hog, which has added much to the Tomb Raider formula. At a round-table Q&A after the demo, Raul Siqueira, game director at Crystal Dynamics, and Flying Wild Hog art director Arek Tomaszewski shed light on how the external development partnership worked, the studios' relationship with Amazon, and why we won't be seeing the return of tank controls in Legacy of Atlantis when it launches on February 12. The Lara you see here is the same Lara from the Survivor era [Tomb Raider 2013, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which tell Lara's origin story], and it will be the same Lara in our projects moving forward." Disclosure: Alex Forbes-Calvin has previously worked with Crystal Dynamics on the book Chronicles of the Tomb Raider.
August was a milestone month if you love watching robots completely eat it The World Robot Humanoid Games gave us more footage of malfunctioning robots than we know what to do with. Here at Clanker Watch we're keeping a vigilant eye on the future as we uneasily enter the Age of Robotics. And there's never been a month like August of 2026 to keep that eye occupied with videos of robots breaking down, messing up, and in a few cases, straight-up catching on fire. Best VR headset: Meta Quest 3 Chris started playing PC games in the 1980s, started writing about them in the early 2000s, and (finally) started getting paid to write about them in the late 2000s.

I've spent four months testing control pads in Counter-Strike and I've finally settled on my fave Most gamers enjoy a speedy or balanced feel to their mouse pad, but there are a few of us out there who have a penchant for stopping power. Razer Gigantus V2 Pro (Control ver.) Static Friction: 4.5/5 Dynamic friction: 4/5 Razer's Gigantus V2 Pro is great if you really have a thing for slow pads and don't much care what you have to sacrifice to get it. (The G-SR III is just the H-SR III but a little smaller.) Steelseries QcK Performance Control Static Friction: 3/5 Dynamic friction: 3/5 Steelseries' QcK Performance Control is a very divisive pad. Wallhack CR-005 Static Friction: 2.5/5 Dynamic friction: 2.5/5 Yes, this is a glass pad on an article about control pads, and glass is usually as far from 'controlled' as you can imagine.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy faces a difficult balancing act. Can it move away from its predecessors' terrifying waves of rats and still deliver a supernatural terror that ties into rewarding environmental puzzles? Can it ditch the series' sibling protagonists and still tell a moving story focused on two people learning to lean on one another? Set in 1334, about 15 years prior to the first two A Plague Tale games, Resonance follows Sophia instead of series protagonist Amicia de Rune.

It's been a busy few weeks for Rockstar and Take-Two following a series of leaked GTA 6 gameplay videos and images. Beginning in mid-August 2026, an anonymous individual or group calling itself CyberLeek began publishing unreleased Grand Theft Auto 6 material. CyberLeek's manifesto Accompanying the first leak were some "commandments" from CyberLeek, including: Thou Shalt Not Sell Digital Preorders Thou Shalt Not Sell Fake Single-Player DLC Thou Shalt Preserve Single-Player Content CyberLeek's clearest complaint is around digital preorders. It's not long now until Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, and Konami's provided a few more details about the new entry in the franchise in the form of the English-language voice cast. A few of the names will be familiar to longtime fans, including a couple from the hit Netflix series. That's a good place to start: Alejandra Reynoso is back in the role of Sypha Belnades, who she started voicing for Castlevania's animated adaptation on Netflix. A witch and noted vampire hunter, Sypha goes way back in the franchise, to 1989's Dracula's Curse, and she's made numerous appearances since, eventually becoming the spouse of one Trevor Belmont.
