This is where I'd put the GTA 6 PC release date, if we had one.
Dog poo, anti-social behaviour, and Jason: Our latest look at GTA 6 gameplay comes from an episode of South Park Life's a beach. So we know that GTA 6 has a marketing deal with Sony and the PlayStation 5, and that Rockstar has been engaging with real-world locations to get the word about its latest sandbox game out into the world ahead of its 19th November launch. On Wednesday night (28th October), the latest episode of South Park (which is currently going by the name 'South America', as a jab at President Trump and his insistence on renaming landmarks and locations) aired on Comedy Central, and it included a quick snippet of new gameplay for GTA 6. #GTAVI Uncut version of the 🐶💩 (+cropped) pic.twitter.com/mxGB9z7fCn — PLTytus (@PLTytus) October 29, 2026 As for context for the gameplay footage, it pops up when Cartman, Kyle, Stan, Randy Marsh (with a more youthful appearance, thanks to events earlier in the series), and Butters' father Steven Stoch are sitting around the table as a woman presents the footage to the assembled crew.
A Valve developer casually dropped the HLX codename into a public Q&A, and Half-Life 3 hopefuls pounced on every letter. But on October 21, a veteran composer grabbed a live microphone and used Half Life 3’s codename in a Q&A session. According to this person “Valve knows how much the official announcement is going to shake the gaming world, they’re enjoying teasing us.” Morasky composed the music for Half-Life: Alyx, Portal 2 and Counter-Strike 2, and in a 2023 interview he referred to more than one Half-Life game before correcting himself to one. Related Until now, fans traced HLX through datamined strings in Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2 and Deadlock updates, while leakers like Gabe Follower and Tyler McVicker described a non-VR Half-Life built on Source 2.

Our Verdict SteelSeries has finally returned to top form in the top-tier competitive gaming mice niche. Given its ergonomic shape, the Rival Pro will only be for those who like to use a palm grip, but for such gamers, you can't ask for much more. For - Top-tier build quality - Ultra-wideband (UWB) connection - Hot-swappable batteries - Lightweight - Web software - Optical clicks feel and sound great Against - Expensive - No port for a cable at all - Not the most defined scroll wheel feel PC Gamer's got your back This has been quite the year for competitive/esports gaming mice. First we had the Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike (and now the improved X3), then the Razer Viper V4 Pro.
Blizzard gifts Diablo 4 players one of the game's rarest crafting materials to apologise for Season 15 issues Resplendid. Diablo 4's Season of Hell's Legacy began over two weeks ago following a banner BlizzCon, but its launch has been surprisingly wobbly. The season initially suffered a multi-hour delay thanks to log-in errors and server issues, but Blizzard has apologised to players using the power of gifts. As reported by Icy Veins, a number of players logged into Diablo 4 to see they've received a Resplendent Spark, one of the game's rarest crafting materials.
Xbox apparently isn't paying close to $400 million for Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear spiritual successor Physint after all, despite recent rumors to the contrary. In news I don't think anyone – including Kojima himself – saw coming, Xbox is now publishing Physint instead of PlayStation after Sony decided it wanted to cancel the game entirely. One report from Bloomberg claimed that, amongst other things, Physint was set to go "well over budget," though Kojima Productions released a statement noting that "none of the claims written came from any official or on-the-record source and as such we encourage you to take them with a dose of scepticism." Even so, whispers about Physint's budget have continued, with The Game Business editor-in-chief Christopher Dring reporting last week that a budget around $400 million is the figure being suggested the most at bars around Tokyo. Windows Central's Jez Corden has shared a similar claim, alleging that sources with direct knowledge of the contracts in question told him that the number is significantly smaller than $400 million.

Rumours of a Square Enix buyout have been doing the rounds over the last 24 hours or so, and they actually got so loud that the publisher itself has had to come out and address them. The whispers stemmed from a Japanese business magazine, which suggested that Square Enix was on course to being privately traded — that is, acquired and removed from public trading. Look, I know I don't need to tell you how much of a mess Cyberpunk 2077 's launch was. There were tons of bugs , it didn't play smoothly , and your saves could even get corrupted fairly easily , so it wasn't an ideal experience at the time. The game has had something of a redemption arc in the almost six years since launch (one that CD Projekt Red thinks still needs to be finished ), but despite whispers of investors pushing to get the game out the door at the time, joint CEO Micha&lstrok Nowakowski says that wasn't the case.
It’s been a huge week for trailers, specifically for games (though the entertainment front hardly took the week off). Of course, the big headline from this week is GTA 6. (Did your Netflix break when you tried to log on to watch the Extended Look right when it dropped?) But gamescom has also been busy shelling out one trailer after another since Tuesday’s Opening Night Live. #TheHistoryofConcrete pic.twitter.com/Qp2lDBm8d4 — Magnolia Pictures (@MagnoliaPics) August 27, 2026 Were you a fan of the HBO show How To With John Wilson a couple years back?

'Sorry about this!' Big Walk is already fixing its biggest complaint In a game about communication, players are having trouble hearing each other. Co-op puzzle game Big Walk launched yesterday, and it's off to a great start: it peaked at nearly 50,000 concurrent players on Steam this morning, Steam reviews are "Very Positive," and here at PC Gamer we're all having a great time with it, too. There's one issue, however, that shows up in pretty much every negative review on Steam. 2026 games: All the upcoming games Best PC games: Our all-time favorites Free PC games: Freebie fest Best FPS games: Finest gunplay Best RPGs: Grand adventures Best co-op games: Better together Chris started playing PC games in the 1980s, started writing about them in the early 2000s, and (finally) started getting paid to write about them in the late 2000s.
Beast of Reincarnation review - Game Freak riffs on Sekiro and Monster Hunter with mixed results In the shadow of the colossus. Game Freak borrows liberally from the genre's biggest hits. And while it's messy and muddled, it's salvaged by exhilarating combat and traversal, and a surprising amount of soul. Beast of Reincarnation's opening moments - its opening hours - are a lot.

Twitch has introduced parental controls that allow guardians to stop their teenage children from streaming or privately messaging other users, six years after Dr Disrespect’s infamous ban. The optional tools are available for accounts belonging to users between the ages of 13 and 17. Once linked, parents can manage their teen’s Twitch experience through a new dashboard. Twitch says teens must invite a parent or guardian to connect their accounts.
Diablo 4 Season 14 will receive its first update on July 14, and while it does bring some welcome changes to what has proven to be an unpopular season so far, those hoping it would fix everything will have to keep waiting. Season 14 launched June 30, and its main hook is what Blizzard coined "Mythic Uniques 3.0," an overhaul of the game's item chase that made it so every Unique in the game (of which there are well over 100) can become an even more powerful Mythic Unique. Patch 3.1.1 makes a few core changes that should result in players being able to acquire far more Mythic Uniques than ever before. There's a lot of whispers about studios shutting down around Microsoft and Xbox at the moment. They've been primarily fluttering between Double Fine, Ninja Theory, and Compulsion , but this week has now seen State of Decay developer Undead Labs added to the list of "companies Xbox bought to build up Game Pass but are ultimately shuttering because they've done a bad job at making line go up." And now yet more reports have emerged, with what remains of Arkane potentially being put up on the chopping block alongside the cancellation of Blade.
