Dungeons & Dragons is no stranger to franchise crossovers, and now it’s kicking off its biggest multiverse initiative to date, starting with a World of Warcraft expansion. Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has announced that D&D: World of Warcraft — a new sourcebook that brings Blizzard’s Azeroth setting to the popular tabletop roleplaying game — will be launching on November 17th. D&D is getting World of Warcraft and Star Wars crossovers Wizards of the Coast is taking a leaf out of Magic: The Gathering’s profitable playbook. It also adds 11 new WoW-themed player species, and six additional subclasses, including the Oath of the Ebon Blade and Oath of the Holy for Paladins, Demon Hunter Ranger, Shadow Domain and Discipline Domain for Clerics, and the Path of the Elements Barbarian.
Star Wars will also be coming to D&D, and I'm worried Hasbro's trying to turn a TTRPG into Magic: The Gathering again Secret draconic lair. Dungeons & Dragons announced it'd be doing a World of Warcraft crossover earlier this week—but it also, additionally, teased a Star Wars crossover at the end of its D&D Vision keynote.
