"Toss A Coin To Your Witcher" might be Dandelion's greatest ballad, but have you heard about the one where Geralt and a bunch of monsters partied 'til he died? Or how about that time Geralt got cut in half by a portal? Getting Inspired The Witcher, be it in the original novels, video games, or TV adaptation, has a fair few silly moments, but the mood still typically errs on the side of "dark and gritty." The world of The Witcher is unforgiving and cruel, and even when you have moments of levity with Geralt's quips to Dandelion or hijinks with Lambert and Eskel, nothing is quite like Reigns: The Witcher. "It's the first time we've ever launched something on Steam first, so that, in itself, was quite a… feeling," says Reanimal producer and Tarsier Studios co-founder Andreas Johnsson, pausing slightly as he recalls Reanimal's Steam Next Fest demo in October of last year. "I was going to say positive feeling!" "Fans weren't super happy at times, were they?" chuckles Dave Mervik. Historically a PlayStation-first studio, a Reanimal demo for PS5 launched weeks after my chat – but for Steam Next Fest, the team threw themselves into the PC experience, inviting fans to check out their first horror adventure since leaving behind Little Nightmares.
Resident Evil Requiem PC performance analysis: Great visuals and decent frame rates all round, though path tracing's an obvious frame rate killer Upscaling is a bit of a must-use, but that's a given these days. Test PC specs - Asus ROG Ally, 15 W + 6 GB VRAM modes - Ryzen 7 7735HS (54 W), 16 GB DDR5-4800, GeForce RTX 4050 - Core i7 9700K (65 W), 16 GB DDR4-3200, Radeon RX 5700 XT - Ryzen 7 5700X3D (105 W), 32 GB DDR4-3200, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti - Core Ultra 9 285K (125 W), 48 GB DDR5-8400, Radeon RX 7900 XT - Ryzen 9 9950X3D (170 W), 32 GB DDR5-6000, GeForce RTX 5090 - Monitors: Acer Nitro XV282K KV / MSI MPG 321URX - Operating System: Windows 11 25H2 - Drivers: Adrenalin Edition 26.1.1 / GeForce Game Ready 591.86 To examine what kind of performance you can expect to get on your gaming PC with Resident Evil Requiem, I used as broad a range of systems as I could. Handheld gaming PC 720p Lowest preset | No ray tracing (RT) | FSR Balanced upscaling Our first port of call is a handheld gaming PC, specifically the Asus ROG Ally, with its power set to 15 W but with the GPU VRAM forced to 6 GB, instead of the default 4 GB. Minimum spec gaming PC 1080p Normal preset | No RT | FSR Balanced upscaling Okay, so a combination of an Intel Core i7 9700K and AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT isn't quite as min-spec as Capcom's minimum system requirements, but the CPU and GPU are almost eight and seven years old, respectively.
The Stop Killing Games campaign 's organisers are currently awaiting a chat with European Union politicians about server shutdowns rendering online-only games impossible to play . Said chat's been set up by a petition which racked up just under 1.3 million verified signatures at its final count, with that being one of the alleys the group have gone down in pursuit of action against publishers being able to abandon games without leaving a way for them to be kept running. Rather than simply adjusting their ties and googling nice places to visit on a trip to Brussels while they wait for their meeting, the group have announced some more action they'll be taking to get their message out in the ling term. Two Stop Killing Games non-governmental organisations (NGOs) are going to be set up to cover Europe and the US.

The Simpsons is one of the greatest shows in the history of television, The Pitt is a new series that’s as successful as it is acclaimed, and for the former’s 800th episode, Homer and co did a crossover event with the latter. The monumental 800th episode of The Simpsons – titled ‘Irrational Treasure’ – sees Marge taking family pooch Santa’s Little Helper to a dog contest in Philadelphia, while Homer becomes embroiled in a National Treasure-esque hunt. To celebrate the milestone instalment, the episode features cameos from Kevin Bacon, Quinta Brunson, and The Roots, as well as a whole heap of Easter eggs. The doggie storyline also sees Santa’s Little Helper getting sick and requiring a trip to a very intense veterinary hospital, where Marge comes face-to-face with three characters from The Pitt… The Simpsons vs The Pitt explained The Pitt plays out in a teaching hospital, with experienced doctors barking questions/orders at trainees, and that’s exactly what happens at this Simpsons vet.

GamesRadar+ Verdict Funny in bursts, regularly creative, yet held back by distinctly average combat and poor exploration elements. High on Life 2 is a surreal trip well worth taking, although you'll need to adjust your expectations accordingly. Pros - + Bright, engrossing world - + Very funny (sometimes) - + Pleasingly unpredictable Cons - - So-so combat - - Dodgy skateboarding implementation - - The crudest humor lacks confidence Why you can trust GamesRadar+ High on Life 2 is many things. Let’s get the rebuttal out of the way first and foremost, because we can already sniff the comments from here: Trophies are a nice added extra, but no, they’re absolutely not the be all and end all. A great game with bad Trophies is still a great game. However , it’s perfectly reasonable to expect PS5 games launching in 2026 to come with a fun set of Trophies to unlock, as it’s part of the meta-game of playing on PlayStation. We’ve probably all earned at least two or three Platinums in our time, and it’s fun, right?

A former Wildlight developer has shared their thoughts on Highguard's release after its announcement at The Game Awards last year, stating due to "false assumptions" around its debut trailer, "we were turned into a joke". Highguard closed out The Game Awards 2025, with a trailer introducing us all to a world of battling Wardens and their magical mounts. The game then launched in January, and quickly had a large influx of players on its release. However, there were a few complaints as well, with many disappointed with areas such as map size and the 3v3 game format.

THQ Nordic have just revealed that the Gothic 1 Remake is now set for release on June 5th. Bringing the original game from 2001 up to more modern standards in terms of gameplay and graphics. Last edited by such on 12 Feb 2026 at 3:48 pm UTC Which is funny because nowadays, the Gothic games have somewhat of a reputation for being difficult, partly due to weird controls and partly due to mercilessly difficult fights when you have a character with no learned skills and no equipment. Last edited by LungDrago on 13 Feb 2026 at 9:42 am UTC Then we got Risen 1 & 2 which were quite good as well, but again Risen-3 was a bit of a flop!
Along with receiving an unprecedented amount of donations recently, the Linux Mint team are looking at slowing down their release cycle. In a fresh blog post from founder Clem Lefebvre, they note how December saw donations from over a thousand people which is the most they've ever seen. Nice to see the project so alive and well, as overall Linux Mint is a great no-fuss distribution. Last edited by Stella on 12 Feb 2026 at 12:51 pm UTC A bit of story and context: the PC of some of my relatives are on Mint Cinnamon and that DE is rougher than usual in this release cycle (Mint 22 series, which is based on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS).
