2K will delist NBA 2K25 on October 30, and players toiling in MyCareer lose the mode entirely when its servers shut down in January. Most players had already moved on to NBA 2K27, which launched on September 4, a week after modders dug Nvidia’s unreleased DLSS 5 out of its early access build. NBA 2K25 delisting date confirmed as servers shut down in 2027 2K confirmed it will pull NBA 2K25 from digital storefronts on October 30, 2026, while its Online Services Status page lists December 31, 2026 as the last day the game’s online features stay up. The schedule matches previous entries, since NBA 2K22, 2K23, and 2K24 each went dark on December 31, roughly 28 months after launch, and this week’s notice closely mirrors the wording 2K used for NBA 2K22.
2K Sports has announced that NBA 2K25 will be discontinued soon, and that includes delisting the product and server shutdowns that will make even the game's single-player MyCareer and MyTeam components unplayable. In a post , 2K Sports said NBA 2K25 will be removed from sale on October 30, 2026 and then fully discontinued on December 31, 2026. The previous year's game, NBA 2K24, was discontinued on January 31, 2026 , with NBA 2K23 going dark a year prior to that . The newest NBA 2K game, NBA 2K27, was released in September 2026, so if a similar pattern holds, it could be delisted in October 2028 and close down for good in January 2029.
