It's now been a full decade since Nintendo announced the first Switch, which is almost hard to believe, given how fresh that reveal trailer still feels in our heads. Heaps of hype and a lack of information from Nintendo about its Wii U successor, codenamed "NX," led to the company's fanbase becoming increasingly restless. Reports and rumors pointed to the NX as a console-handheld hybrid , but Nintendo didn't fully unveil the Switch until October 20, 2016 (an announcement preluded by a photo of Mario being a creep ). The three-and-a-half-minute video made it clear how Nintendo wanted players to interact with the Switch, showing several scenarios where people take their games on the go.
You will soon be able to play as Austin Abrams in this fan-made, retro-style video game adapting Zach Cregger’s take on the Resident Evil universe, complete with fixed camera angles and all. An indie game developer who goes by the name “chicanogoth” on Instagram is going viral after sharing their progress for their video game adaptation… of a movie adaptation… of a game. It’s a Matryoshka doll-style line of thinking that the developer referenced in their viral video, jokingly calling it Resident Evil: The Movie: The Game. The project even earned recognition from Resident Evil 7 director Koshi Nakanishi, who shared it on social media with the caption, “WOW.” While the possibility of a sequel for Cregger’s RE movie is still up in the air, there’s no questioning its success at the box office; it surpassed $360 million worldwide and now stands as the 10th most successful video game movie ever made, out-earning Cregger’s previous films, Weapons and Barbarian, combined.
Poll 100 people on the scariest game they've ever played. Morin remembered potential partners telling him that they'd "rather invest $50,000 in 10 mobile games than $500,000 in [Outlast]." Ultimately, the Canada Media Fund (CMF), a publicly funded investment program meant to support homegrown media projects across Canada, helped bring Outlast to fruition. We were in a sprint to release the game before running out of money." Morin remembered potential partners telling him that they'd "rather invest $50,000 in 10 mobile games than $500,000 in [Outlast]." No publisher materialized, but the work continued, and eventually the team felt it could get the game to the finish line without an outside publisher, so Red Barrels did exactly that, though Morin admitted the team had no experience with that side of making video games. Once you have people coming for the food, then you can maybe hope to sell them $200 bottles of wine." Recently, The Outlast Trials quadrupled its personal-best Steam concurrent-player record , exceeding 120,000 players thanks to a hefty Steam discount, players' desire for scary games to play around Halloween , and a surge in China specifically.
Our Verdict Asus' 20th anniversary edition of the Xbox ROG Ally X is as bougie as the $300 price bump implies. For - OLED - No more stick drift - Great thermals Against - $300 more than an already pricey handheld - No performance uplift on the Xbox Ally X PC Gamer's got your back The Asus ROG 20th anniversary lineup has been interesting. The actual top dog, the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ CG3EM and its Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor, ekes out better performance with anywhere between a 20-40% performance uplift in our game testing, but it's also just under 40% more expensive in the US. View Original View Original View Original View Original View Original View Original View Original The new OLED screen goes up to a peak brightness of 1,400 nits, which is bright enough to even bring this bad boy outdoors, and with the Lenovo Legion Go 2's 8.8-inch OLED panel going up to 1,000 nits and the OneXPlayer 3's 8.8-inch AMOLED display going up to 1,100 nits (though these two go up to 144 Hz), I'd pick the Asus model out of the three.

Warhammer Survivors is more than just a Vampire Survivors spin-off Even as we drown in Warhammer games, Survivors stands out as something extremely cool. I thought Warhammer Survivors sounded like a neat spin-off—Vampire Survivors in a Warhammer skin, created by Boltgun developer Auroch Digital. Having spent 10 hours with its demo, however, I'm increasingly convinced that it deserves to be catagorised as a sequel. 2026 games: All the upcoming games Best PC games: Our all-time favorites Free PC games: Freebie fest Best FPS games: Finest gunplay Best RPGs: Grand adventures Best co-op games: Better together Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

Tonda Ros, creator of Blue Prince, has played UFO 50 for almost 700 hours: 'I think it's easily my favourite game of the last 20 years' Welcome to Disk Cleanup, our regular weekend feature delving into the PCs of PC gaming luminaries. Come back every weekend to read a new interview, digging into the important questions, like "How tidy is your desktop?" and "What game will you never uninstall?" Tonda Ros was first drawn to PC gaming at seven years old, after playing the action-adventure classic, Beast. "It's kind of like an open, nonlinear Sokoban that's action-based and not puzzle-based," says Ros, the creator of 2025's Blue Prince. "I think it was the next year where we had a 386 PC in the house, and that's when the floodgates opened … when I played Tank Wars and the original SimCity and Star Control." Establishing a career as a cinematographer and visual artist, in 2016, Ros began working on Blue Prince.
World of Warcraft: Forever is all about preserving the original, vanilla WoW experience as it was back in 2004, but there's one quest from 2007 that the MMO's community has been asking Blizzard to make an exception for, and now their wishes have been granted. For the uninitiated, the Kyle's Gone Missing quest was originally added to WoW during its Burning Crusade era from 2007. It was a Make-A-Wish request from a young player named Ezra 'Ephoenix' Chatterton, who had been battling brain cancer at the time. Blizzard did the right thing and let Chatteron design and perform the voice lines for the quest, which tasks you with helping Chatteron's NPC, Ahab Wheathoof, find his dog.
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation director on its 'very extravagant' final Sephiroth fight and whether anyone will ever pull something like this trilogy off again Naoki Hamaguchi discusses the final chapter of Square Enix's elaborate remake project. Final Fantasy 7 Revelation director Naoki Hamaguchi must be one of the least guarded interviewees working for a major publisher. Before I speak to him, I find tons of details about the final game in the Remake trilogy spread across a dozen different sources—everything from granular titbits about why Vincent Valentine has a unique skydiving animation to defending the sheer volume of minigames that make the cut. In Revelation, which launches April 8, series villain Sephiroth has summoned the destructive cosmic spell Meteor towards the planet, intending to destroy it.

The Last of Us Joel actor Troy Baker has been singing the praises of Naughty Dog's next game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, telling fans that they're going to have their "minds blown." Even though it's been almost two years since Intergalactic was announced, we still know surprisingly little about it, but Naughty Dog boss Neil Druckmann confirmed this week that we can expect its full reveal sometime next year, so that's something. In the meantime, we'll just have to hope for the best, but according to Baker, the Last of Us studio is working on something pretty special. You guys are going to have your minds blown," Baker said during a panel at Ottawa Comiccon earlier this month, repeating, "You are not ready." Latest Videos FromGamesRadar+ He continues, saying: "It's so good. We finally just wrapped, as you saw, the cinematics." That news was announced by Naughty Dog at the end of August, at which point it called the shoot "very ambitious" and said: "Cannot wait to show you their incredible work when the time is right!" Baker also praises Druckmann for finding yet another "amazing" actor in Tati Gabrielle (who's playing protagonist Jordan), who he describes as a "spiritual successor" to Ashley Johnson and her portrayal of The Last of Us's Ellie.
Nearly two years have passed since Naughty Dog lifted the veil on its ambitious new sci-fi project, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet – but we've not seen much of it since then. Well, according to studio lead Neil Druckmann, we've still got a while to go before the developers are ready to show the mysterious game off some more. He reveals as much in a new post on Naughty Dog's official blog, explaining, "The team is heads down on what is shaping up to be Naughty Dog’s most ambitious game yet" – and, yes, he does indeed mean Intergalactic here, which makes it all the more exciting. We'll fully reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and give you a proper look at Jordan's wild sci-fi adventure." Latest Videos FromGamesRadar+ Jordan is the intriguing Intergalactic protagonist, just to be clear, played by the ever-talented Tati Gabrielle.
Naughty Dog confirms two more The Last of Us projects are in the works, won't show off Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet until 2027 "We need to cook for just a little bit longer." Naughty Dog fans, pick up your ears - it's been a busy night for fans of the PlayStation studio. First of all, in a letter celebrating The Last of Us Day 2026, studio head Neil Druckmann confirmed that two new projects within The Last of Us universe are in the "very early stages" of development at Naughty Dog. "Since [The Last of Us Part 2 documentary] Grounded 2, we've talked about the possibility of telling more stories in the world of The Last of Us," Druckmann said in a message. I will tell you that both projects will expand the canon of The Last of Us beyond [The Last of Us Part 1] and [The Last of Us Part 2].
