A small update arrived to Call of Duty on February 25, and the patch notes detail a few bug fixes for Black Ops 7 and some notable weapon tuning for Warzone . The weapon adjustments for battle royale include a nerf for the popular auto conversion for the M8A1 assault rifle, while a few other guns get improvements to make them more viable. Recently, the M8A1 assault rifle has been a dominant force in Warzone with the addition of the Autostrike-X8 Conversion barrel. The developer has now detailed a nerf to decrease the damage range for the M8A1 when using the Autostrike-X8 Conversion barrel as well as a slight decrease to the lower torso and leg multipliers.

Our Verdict Resident Evil Requiem sets itself out with a hard task: wrapping all the best elements of previous Resident Evil games into one. Miraculously it succeeds, with very few moments which left me wanting more. Release date February 27, 2026 Expect to pay $70 / £60 Developer Capcom Publisher Capcom Reviewed on RTX 3070, AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, 16GB RAM Multiplayer No Steam Deck TBC Link Steam It sounds like an impossible task—but Requiem not only pulls it off, it does it in just 10 hours. 2026 games: All the upcoming games Best PC games: Our all-time favorites Free PC games: Freebie fest Best FPS games: Finest gunplay Best RPGs: Grand adventures Best co-op games: Better together Resident Evil Requiem sets itself out with a hard task: wrapping all the best elements of previous Resident Evil games into one.
Despite its title, Resident Evil Requiem feels like a celebration of the series with its myriad mechanics from past titles. It beautifully blends different play styles in one coherent title, but what could have been the best Resident Evil game in the series is marred by its strange story. Whereas previous games featured annoying sections that I despise replaying ( RE2R 's Sewers, RE5 4-2, and RE6 Jake Chapter 2), almost all the segments here were fun in their own ways. Resident Evil Requiem will come out on February 27, 2026 for the PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC.

The best King's Field-likes on PC From software, with love. Developer: Kasur Games | Release date: 2025 | Steam Deck: Verified | Link: Steam - King's Field + Dark Souls 2 - Controls like: A sensible station wagon in a forsaken kingdom There's all of the classic FromSoftware paraphernalia in here—a slightly awkward magic system, highly stylised NPCs with no real faces, aggressive plants, poison lakes—but what makes this game stand out is how interconnected it all is. Developer: Rat Tower | Release date: 2024 (early access) | Steam Deck: Playable | Link: Steam - King's Field + Dark Messiah of Might and Magic - Controls like: American muscle in a demolition derby Monomyth may eschew the faux-retro look used to great effect by many Field-likes, but is no less atmospheric or authentic for its modern extravagances. Estimates do place the overall budget of GTA 3 around the $5 million mark, a tiny fraction of what even GTA 4 wound up costing, never mind the fifth or the upcoming GTA 6. Clair Obscur didn't have much comparable competition as a studio debut in the RPG space, and among the notable launches were Oblivion Remastered, Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles and Dragon Quest 1 and 2 HD-2D Remake, compounding the notion that established franchises are where money is going.
GamesRadar+ Verdict Funny in bursts, regularly creative, yet held back by distinctly average combat and poor exploration elements. High on Life 2 is a surreal trip well worth taking, although you'll need to adjust your expectations accordingly. Sony and Nintendo are reportedly feeling squeezed by RAM shortages as demand from AI data centers takes up an increasing share of memory chip production. In response to rising costs and dwindling chip supplies, Sony is considering pushing back the release of its next PlayStation console “to 2028 or even 2029,” according to industry sources cited by Bloomberg, while Nintendo may increase the $450 price of its Switch 2 console this year. Switch 2 pricing and next PlayStation release could be impacted by memory shortage Sony might push the debut of its next-generation console back to 2029 due to AI memory demands. What we've been playing - "I think my brain might be cooked" A few of the things that have us hooked this week. 14th February Hello and welcome back to our regular feature where we write a little about the games we've been playing. This week, Bertie plays a classic but finds himself getting a bit bored; Marie adopts a black cat called Salem; Tom can't get out of the menus; Victoria makes a young child cry; Dom Platinums a game and feels very smug about it; and Connor finds an inventive way to play two MMOs at once. -Connor Read this next - "There's actually millions of people that still play it" - Blizzard insists Diablo 3 still has a "massive" playerbase - Nioh 3 gets its first big post-launch patch on Steam and PlayStation 5, and it mostly affects progress-halting bugs - Will we ever see Switch 2 versions of Diablo 2 and Diablo 4?

Players surge back to Overwatch with the new expansion, as it leapfrogs Marvel Rivals on Steam and dominates Twitch "The cavalry's here!" A revitalised Overwatch (formerly Overwatch 2) is bringing players back, propelling the game to most-watched status on streaming service Twitch, and to being one of the most played games on Steam - comfortably above copycat hero-shooter Marvel Rivals. There was even a queue to log in to Overwatch when I played yesterday evening, which is something I've never seen before. Currently there are nearly 100,000 people watching Overwatch streams on Twitch, making it the most viewed game by some way, with nearly 30,000 more viewers than second-place game League of Legends. Meanwhile on Steam, Overwatch peaked at 165,000 players, putting it briefly in the top 10.
Romeo is a Dead Man review – an offbeat action game that finds its groovy, gory rhythm What fight through yonder Windows breaks? Like the summonable, energy-shooting ghoul I cultivated on my spaceship’s zombie farm, Romeo is a Dead Man is a bit of a grower. After an iffy start that exhibits plenty of Grasshopper Manufacture weirdness but not much Grasshopper Manufacture charm, its disparate parts do eventually coalesce, forming a lean yet muscular hack 'n' slash with a playful talent for mixing up its mediums. At what is usually an easy 1440p, my RTX 3090 – running Ultra settings with Quality-level DLSS 4 – couldn’t reliably hold 60fps, with drops to 30fps and sometimes even lower in some Sub-Space areas.
Nioh 3 review - Team Ninja’s most accomplished action game, and the series’ most accessible Nioh 3 makes good on years of experimenting and refinement in the extended Nioh family of games, delivering an indelible evolution, and the series’ most accessible entry, yet. The moment Nioh 3 was revealed as Team Ninja’s next project, it immediately jumped to the top of my most anticipated games of 2026. That excitement was dampened somewhat when the studio revealed the game’s “open field” level design. I am very much over open-world games, but I was particularly worried that we were about to get the Nioh version of Rise of the Ronin - which, really, was itself Nioh-lite in an open world.
