Reanimal doesn't exactly disprove co-op is the enemy of horror but it shows there's a place for human connection too Friends in dark places. Two crouched shapes silhouetted in the moonlight, breath held tight as something stirs. A torch beam slices through the shadows; strange grasping limbs slide into view; tension mounts, hearts pound, and then suddenly a voice cuts in, "Hang on a minute, I'm just gonna run to the loo." Co-op in horror games doesn't have the greatest rep. The argument's simple - so obvious, it barely qualifies as an argument at all: horror thrives in isolation, silence is the foundation of tension, so shove a second person into the mix and even before you've both subconsciously slipped into idle chit-chat, the set-up is antithetical to sustained atmosphere.
Tomorrow's Battlefield 6 patch somehow makes jets more useless, improves armor bar visibility in Redsec The first Battlefield 6 patch of the year is almost here, bringing a smattering of changes, including one that doesn't quite make sense. Battlefield 6’s promised, season-extending update has been officially detailed. The patch, version 1.1.3.5, arrives tomorrow, January 20 right when Season 1 was supposed to end. Update 1.1.3.5 does, of course, have a change log of its own that goes beyond just the season’s extension, but the changes fall somewhere between not very exciting, and a bit puzzling.
BF6 Review: The first Battlefield game I can recommend without reservations Having played the final build for about 40 hours, I am more confident in Battlefield 6 than I have ever been in a Battlefield game at launch. I’ve been playing Battlefield since the first time I randomly came across BF1942 at an internet cafe circa 2004. I vividly remember booking time off from work so I can be up to play Battlefield 3 as soon as servers went live, and arguing with friends over Mumble that the skyscraper Levolution event on Siege of Shanghai crashing servers about 60% of the time was really a minor issue that shouldn't detract from how good Battlefield 4 was. Read this next - Watch the Battlefield 6 Season 2 gameplay reveal here - Battlefield 6's next season will speed up battle pass progression, and make it so Redsec players who don't own the game can actually make progress - Battlefield 6’s first big map in months is coming to Labs soon, but I'm more excited about BF4's Golmud Railway making its way to BF6
