Anthropic has issued an update for Claude Opus that puts a stop to the AI-generated game clones that have filled platforms like Steam.
Rockstar Games is reportedly teaming up with Travis Scott and Nike to release a collection of Grand Theft Auto 6-themed sneakers in time for the game’s launch.
Few games have changed the trajectory of their respective series quite like Monster Hunter World, one of the biggest smash hits Capcom has ever created. World was a vibrant, expansive, and ambitious leap that paid off in spades. It makes sense, then, that eight years later the series would still be chasing that high. Even with the time that's passed, I find myself amazed that Monster Hunter Outlanders, essentially, manages to cram the experience of World into a mobile game.
As Bungie plots a future for more Destiny, head of product Josh Deane has clarified that players don't need to "buy Marathon as a donation" just to support the studio's plans. It's a clarification that arrived after Deane posted a community message for Destiny fans yesterday. The message, featured as part of a lengthy Q&A blog post, outlined the unvaulting process for Destiny 2 content that was previously promised last month, but one segment left players confused – and concerned – about the future and extraction shooter Marathon's role in the big picture. Mainly hoping we can accomplish our goals in both lanes with a stronger relationship with our entire community!" I may have worded this clumsily but this is the true heart of what I was trying to say Truly care about community healing and believe that it will help our studio bridge into the future in the most healthy way possible ❤️ Play and share what you are passionate about, whatever that is The Destiny plan moves forward no matter what When one player suggested they feared they were being encouraged to purchase but never download Marathon just to support Bungie, Deane said, "Oh, don't buy Marathon as a donation or offer anything else." "It's our job to show up for you," he added.
Warframe creators Digital Extremes have announced that their free-to-play fantasy RPG Soulframe will be available for everyone to download on 6th November, after two years in closed alpha. Finally, you serfs without "prelude" keys will be able to fire up Soulframe.com and make sense of my ranting about the sleeping animals on the lobby screen. The new "open prelude" will land shortly before the game's 17th major update, Verse of the Veilands, which lets you grow your Omen wolfpup allies into rideable adult wolves by finding the ingredients for a special biscuit. More importantly, prelude 17 violently rearranges the game's wistful world, adding an Ubisoft-esque region purging system that is designed to guide new players a bit more emphatically towards the game's "votives".

Studio Atelico launches Atelico AI Engine into Early Access "The studios that succeed won't be the ones using the most AI, they'll be the ones using AI entirely in service of the player experience," says CEO Studio Atelico has launched its Atelico AI Engine into Early Access. The studio's technology, first used in its debut game Bobium Brawlers, is designed to run on-device instead of relying on data centres. The Atelico AI Engine works with Unity, Unreal Engine, and Godot, enabling developers to generate images, run language models, implement speech systems, and create AI-driven character behaviors. The engine allows AI to run alongside gameplay without impacting rendering performance and removes cloud dependencies across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Linux, on both GPU and CPU.
Rockstar developer union could end up over 1,600 workers strong and encompass nearly all UK staff below senior management, IWGB claim Organisers say a successful vote would create "the biggest recognised union in the UK games sector" As we've previously covered, a vote on recognition of a union made up of UK-based Rockstar Games devs is set to take place around GTA 6's console launch on November 19th. The Independent Workers of Great Britain (IWGB) union, whom the Rockstar staff are working with in their efforts to organise, have now revealed just how many workers the Rockstar could end up encompassing if the recognition vote is successful. As reported by Game File, when asked to put a number on their claim that the vote could result in "the biggest recognised union in the UK games sector", the IWGB said that the union’s bargaining unit would be made up of more than 1,600 workers. If you’ve played multiple entries in Capcom’s Resident Evil series, you’re bound to pick a favorite. Given how themes, characters, perspectives, and gameplay elements change from one installment to another, there’s a lot of choice there. I find myself always coming back to Resident Evil 3, be it the original or remake, because of the execution. The Resident Evil 3 remake appears on the Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and iOS devices.

Gaming storefronts are facing a Slop Grenade problem | Opinion Players and creators alike dislike AI-created games, but digital storefronts are ill-equipped for the avalanche of slop that threatens to tank discoverability and turn away consumers There is currently a concerted and not-so-subtle campaign underway to try to manufacture consent for the use of AI in game development. At its core, this is about presenting AI as a fait accompli. Every week or so we get a new report making dubious claims about almost every development studio already using AI. The message to developers is "you'll be left behind if you don't use it too"; to players, it's "this is already done and there's no turning back".
There are no more Assassin's Creed remakes in development, because Ubisoft are focused on Hexe, Invictus and "projects you haven't heard about yet" They're still updating Black Flag Resynced, however, and bringing NG+ to Valhalla Ubisoft have announced that they aren't working on any more Assassin's Creed remakes for the moment, despite learning a "tremendous amount" from Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. Instead, it's all shoulders to the wheel for a thrilling future that contains witches, a stronger sense of narrative cohesion, and possibly some kind of Assassin's Creed Smash Bros equivalent. In the shorter term, Ubisoft are still adding things to both Resynced and Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Years ago, Indieszero and Nintendo made this amazing GBA game called Sakura Momoko no Ukiuki Carnival. In it, our goal was to prepare a carnival for Colortown, inviting the people who lived there to it and getting the blessing from the gods to ensure a good time is had by all. It never got localized, which is a tragedy. However, Gingham Games, Melos Han-Tani, Mogumu, and Sandy Powder’s Danchi Days features that same sort of spirit and neighbor-collecting initiative in the hopes of once again holding a happy summer festival.

World of Warcraft players angry after Blizzard seems to contradict housing cosmetics policy with Halloween additions Kul to arms. The World of Warcraft team has found itself at the centre of controversy after recently-added housing cosmetics appeared to go against previous pledges not to sell decorations tied to the visual identity of the game's races and factions. The cosmetics are the haunted Grimtide Estate and Grimtide decor packs - a spooky spin on Kul Tiran furniture that players can either buy through the Battle.net store or in-game shop. These decorations have a nautical theme, in line with the buildings present in the Battle For Azeroth expansion, where the Kul Tiran subfaction was added for Alliance players.
