Well, it would seem that EA's revival of the Skate franchise is slowing to a crawl, as developer Full Circle is going through restructuring that will "impact" some of its employees. To put it bluntly, the company is likely performing a mass layoff as player counts are at two percent of their launch-day peak, when the title had attracted some 134,000 concurrents. "As Skate continues to evolve, we’re transforming as a studio," a note from Full Circle reads . In raw numbers, some 2,400 concurrents play Skate on average, whereas it peaked at around 134,000 only half a year ago.

Windrose is an upcoming survival crafting game set during the Golden Age of Piracy, i.e., sometime around the 1700s. It's similar to titles like Valheim and V Rising , with you being tasked with surviving, building up, and exploring the high seas in pursuit of treasures and mysteries stranger still. It's a fun experience through and through, and its extensive demo only makes me yearn for more every time I fire it up. Speaking of the demo, it gives a taste of Windrose 's comprehensive experience, with various resources, quests, and assignments to be completed and progressed through.
Skate studio Full Circle is laying off employees, says having fewer people working there will enable it to 'move faster, listen more closely, and deliver consistently for all of you,' somehow Five months after launching into early access, Skate's player numbers on Steam have declined precipitously. Just five months after the early access release of the Skate reboot, Electronic Arts is "transforming" development studio Full Circle so it can "better support Skate's long-term future and focus the team on the things that matter most to you." And yes, let there be no doubt, that means layoffs.
Discord delays controversial age verification rollout, saying it "missed the mark" following community outcry "We know many of you believe the right answer is not to do this at all." Discord co-founder and chief technology officer Stanislav Vishnevskiy has announced the company is delaying the global rollout of its controversial age verification requirements, admitting it "missed the mark". Earlier this month, Discord revealed it would begin a "phased global rollout" of a new update in March that would give all new and existing users a "teen-appropriate experience" by default. Essentially, this meant many of the platform's features - including access to age-gated channels, servers, app commands, and "sensitive content" - would be heavily restricted unless users had been age verified. This, the company said at the time, would enable it to give "teens strong protections while allowing verified adults flexibility".
Full Circle, the studio behind EA's new Skate game, has dismissed an unspecified number of employees. In a website post about the "next chapter" of the free-to-play early access title, the studio said that it is "transforming" as the game evolves. "These shifts mean making changes to our team structure, and some roles will be impacted," Full Circle's post reads. (@skate) February 25, 2026 The studio also thanked players for their "passion and trust." The layoffs come five days after Full Circle unveiled plans for Season 3 of Skate , which begins on March 10.
Developer and publisher Laps Games has announced the Early Access release date for Valorborn, a sandbox RPG in which the world continues "with or without the player". Valorborn will be arriving in Early Access on April 15th, and if you're a fan of systems-driven RPGs like Kingdom Come: Deliverance or even the Stalker series, then it sounds as though Valorborn will be right up your alley. Laps Games describes Valorborn's world as one "built around systemic simulation", so you can expect villages to continue about their business even when you're not around, as well as faction power struggles and "dangers moving across the land whether [you] intervene or not". Laps Games also says that Valorborn's world will be fully realized, which means that "every building, cave, and point of interest is fully enterable" and there will be "no fake doors or decorative entrances".

GamesRadar+ Verdict If you're new to resin 3D printing or are turned off by the mess, the Creality Halot-X1 is built with you in mind. The high resolution or speed of its prints are all good and well, but the slew of beginner-friendly features really help it shine. Pros - + An excellent choice for beginners - + Very easy to use - + Novel twist-to-release build plate - + Smart workarounds to minimize mess - + 16K resolution and high speed Cons - - Resin feed sold separately - - No heated resin vat - - No built-in camera Why you can trust GamesRadar+ It sounds silly, but the thing I hate most about resin 3D printing is the mess – and the Creality Halot-X1 seems to agree that it sucks. Creality Halot-X1 features & design - Novel lifting print system - Twist-to-release build plate - 16K resolution, at high speed Many 3D printers have specific features they'll hinge themselves around, but the Halot-X1 says "why limit yourself?" It gives everything a good go; there's a high print speed of up to 170mm/h, a user-friendly interface to keep things simple if you're new to all this, the option to add resin management for easier extraction/heating, latches on the vat rather than screws, 16K resolution for more detailed prints, and what it calls a "true leveling-free" experience.

Scream 7 hasn't even been released in cinemas yet, but that hasn't stopped Paramount Pictures from mapping out plans for an eighth installment – or so a new report from Variety has claimed, anyway. But you know she gets to sort of heal that wound." The fact that it's bringing back two former Ghostface killers, too, in the form of Matthew Lillard's Stu Macher and Scott Foley's Roman Bridger (who was pretty definitively shot in the head in the criminally-underrated Scream 3, mind) doubles down on its sense of totality, too. Written and directed by Kevin Williamson, who penned Scream (1996), Scream 2 (1997) and Scream 4 (2011), Scream 7 sees Neve Campbell return as Sidney Prescott, following her absence in Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin's Scream 6.
"Toss A Coin To Your Witcher" might be Dandelion's greatest ballad, but have you heard about the one where Geralt and a bunch of monsters partied 'til he died? Or how about that time Geralt got cut in half by a portal? Getting Inspired The Witcher, be it in the original novels, video games, or TV adaptation, has a fair few silly moments, but the mood still typically errs on the side of "dark and gritty." The world of The Witcher is unforgiving and cruel, and even when you have moments of levity with Geralt's quips to Dandelion or hijinks with Lambert and Eskel, nothing is quite like Reigns: The Witcher. Review Summary Pros - Addicting, Tinder-style Swiping Gameplay - Funny Situations Witcher Fans Will Enjoy, While Treating Source Material With Respect - Dozens of Objectives, Familiar Characters, and Iconic Monsters Cons - RNG Can Make or Break You - Some Choices/Solutions to Objectives Seem Obtuse

"It's the first time we've ever launched something on Steam first, so that, in itself, was quite a… feeling," says Reanimal producer and Tarsier Studios co-founder Andreas Johnsson, pausing slightly as he recalls Reanimal's Steam Next Fest demo in October of last year. "I was going to say positive feeling!" "Fans weren't super happy at times, were they?" chuckles Dave Mervik. Historically a PlayStation-first studio, a Reanimal demo for PS5 launched weeks after my chat – but for Steam Next Fest, the team threw themselves into the PC experience, inviting fans to check out their first horror adventure since leaving behind Little Nightmares.

Bungie's new extraction shooter, Marathon , is almost ready for launch but the Destiny 2 developer has one final open-beta-style server slam to host. Starting on February 26 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET and finishing on March 2 at the same time, the Marathon server slam is an opportunity for players to get their hands on the game ahead of launch. It'll also allow Bungie to test its infrastructure before the full Marathon release date lands.
