2026 is a low-key revolutionary year for player movement in games Big Walk, Cairn, Baby Steps and the new generation of games that make masterpieces from everyday actions. Fortunately, id Software carries on after layoffs hit the studio earlier this year, which prompted id co-founders John Romero and John Carmack to each separately comment on the staff reductions, which in turn prompted a response from both the studio and Martin himself.
