Dawn of War 4 clearly loves the Warhammer 40K strategy games that came before, but it misses that they loved to reinvent themselves Retreading hallowed ground I may have set my expectations for Dawn of War 4 too high, but it's a series that, to my mind, never retreads the same ground. It's therefore been disappointing to feel, having played it across two its campaigns that this long-awaited sequel may have taken too few risks - or been too reverent of the games that came before. Back in the hands of Relic Entertainment, the original Dawn of War was closest to a traditional RTS game. I played 20 cozy game demos in Steam Next Fest and these 5 made it onto my wishlist I swear they aren't all farm sims. The full time job of keeping up with cozy games always gets double difficult during the big demo-rama Steam Next Fest Events. It's extra hard this year because yikes there's a lot of AI junk in the store these days. I've waded through hundreds of cozy store pages, dodged the AI disclosures, downloaded 20 demos, and am coming to you with the five cozy games that I'm actually adding to my own wishlist after a busy evening of taste testing.

Final Fantasy 7 director says Revelation's Platinum trophy will be "easier to get" "I feel bad - I have regrets." While Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth was "difficult" to Platinum by "design", sequel Revelation's Platinum trophy will be "easier to get". That's according to director Naoki Hamaguchi, who recently acknowledged that the reason so few players had unlocked Rebirth's Platinum trophy - about 2.6% - is because the team "wanted to make people go through all this content and perfect it". Now, talking to Anime News Network, Hamaguchi stopped short of calling the tough Platinum requirements "a mistake in judgement", but did admit he had "regrets" when he saw the fan reaction. In terms of how difficult it will be, we're expecting twenty percent of players or maybe even more than that to be able to obtain it." Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is due out on 8th April 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.
This is an IGN opinion piece from Matt Purslow, who has been there from day one for every PlayStation generation since the PS2. He loves the style of narrative single-player adventures that Sony's studios have historically championed. First announced during a Sony State of Play in early 2024, Physint was described as “a completely new 'Action Espionage' for the next-generation.” That specific wording, of course, is intended to evoke Metal Gear Solid, which sports the tagline “Tactical Espionage Action” across each of the series’ logos. Four of this generation’s major first-party exclusives – Ghost of Yotei, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarok, and Horizon Forbidden West – are almost indistinguishable from their PS4 predecessors when it comes to how they play.
A few hours into Wolverine I found myself asking, “Why did Insomniac Games make this?” There are obvious answers, of course: It has three excellent Spider-Man games under its belt; it's an opportunity to expand its Marvel Universe; and Wolverine presents ample opportunities for a brutal and bloody action game. But none of that explains why Insomniac Games , specifically, made Wolverine. Spider-Man is an ideal fit for the studio: an energetic and dynamic hero in the hands of a team known for open-worlds that are sprawling jungle gyms, where it can let players loose with thrilling traversal mechanics and varied combat systems for crime fighting fun. Insomniac also excels at crafting narratives that are as earnest as they are dramatic--perfect for the tumultuous lives of Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
The Legend of Zelda film is just called "The Legend of Zelda", apparently, and there's a good reason it doesn't have a subtitle Link in park. Today, during a Nintendo Direct dedicated to the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series, Columbia Pictures and Nintendo released the first-ever trailer for the upcoming live-action The Legend of Zelda movie, starring Bo Bragason as the titular Princess Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link. When we see the film, apparently, we'll understand why there isn't a subtitle, says Miyamoto during the Direct. The young actor will be 18 when the film launches on 30th April, 2027, though - somehow making it 10 years since the Nintendo Switch game first launched.

RTX 5060 | from $339.99 at Amazon RTX 5070 | from $629.99 at Best Buy Yes, I review the best graphics cards, but I wasn't really gunning to play Resident Evil Requiem with blistering specs. Naturally, if you want to play Capcom's latest eerie escapade, you'll need to leverage fps boosting tools like DLSS 4.5 and Multi-Frame Generation, and the game does demonstrate why you'd want to crank the settings up On average, I was hitting around 200fps at 4K ultra settings with Path Tracing on using Multi-Frame Generation x4.
