The Commodore 77 looks like a C64 Ultimate for Edgerunners, but it also "brings a slice of Cyberpunk 2077 and Night City to the long-established C64 demo scene" Commodore is making a Cyberpunk 2077 version of the C64 Ultimate, marking its first-ever hardware collaboration. The gritty yellow breadbin will set you back $377, which is a chunk more than the Beige and Startlight Commodore 64 Ultimate models, but not quite as steep as the $549.99 Founders Edition (keep in mind that the C64 Mini is $68). The Content Strategy lead sums that up, saying, "The Commodore 77 demo similarly brings a slice of Cyberpunk 2077 and Night City to the long-established C64 demo scene, a demonstration of technical skill and the power of the Commodore.” It feels like both the physical design of the C77 and its demo scene origins are a perfect match, and I can't wait to see it show up as part of setups pushing the hardware's limits.

If you need a recap, that covers the 1991 Alien Breed original as well as the 1992 Special Edition, Alien Breed II: The Horror Continues (1993), Tower Assault (1994), and Alien Breed 3D I and II released on the Amiga CD32. That's worth highlighting since there are so many fingers in the Amiga right pie (there's an unrelated Amiga microcomputer remake at Amazon for $189), but this publishing debut follows a recent deal that'll make releasing anything Amiga-related less painful.
The people of video games on what gives them cause for hope "Forget trodden down, I think our future sees a beautiful revolution." Hello and welcome to one of our final pieces for Optimism Week here on Eurogamer. This time, we've turned to the industry itself for some answers, and as such I'm going to do my best to get out of the way as quickly as possible. "The bundle ended this morning, as of this writing, and we managed to raise more than $250,000 in two weeks.
