Footage of a canceled Star Wars action RPG has surfaced online just over a year after the studio that was making it closed. The internal name for the game was reportedly Star Wars: Magellan, and it was in development at the formerly Zynga-owned Echtra Games until the studio was shut down last June. After Zynga acquired the studio in 2021, it was announced that the devs were working on "a new, yet to be announced role-playing game (RPG) for cross-platform play, in partnership with Zynga's NaturalMotion studio," and it appears that this latest find is likely the game in question. MP1st has reportedly uncovered footage of the RPG via a former Echtra developer's portfolio of work.
Gameplay footage for the cancelled Star Wars: Magellan has appeared online Back in the action. Years after its cancellation, gameplay footage for Star Wars: Magellan, the action RPG developed by the now-shuttered Echtra Games, has appeared online. Uploaded by a former developer on the project, per MP1st, the footage shows various characters including a Jedi and Mandalorian fighting their way through hordes of enemies. The game looked to be a loot-centric experience, with these enemies dropping gear and equipment of various rarities.

I have long dreamed of a better world: one where I would unlock my phone to find a notification that my grandma has challenged me to a game of Scrabble. We would play back and forth over a few days, and the entire time, neither of us would have to see any overwhelming technicolor ads with deceptive skip buttons that blast us with even more pop-ups.
