I got the chance to chat with the cast of the Street Fighter movie ahead of its October 16 release, and many of the actors involved told me they’re absolutely game for a crossover with the Mortal Kombat films. In fact, Andrew Schulz joked that this was the real goal of his infamous jab at the MK cast during the 2025 Game Awards. They were enthusiastic about Yujiro Hanma joining Tekken 8, for example, and even seemed open to the idea of collaborating with Baki again, which previously enjoyed a partnership with Street Fighter 6 in 2023 and 2024.

Cyberpunk 2077 is heading to the big screen. Deadline reports that CD Projekt Red’s popular sci-fi video game franchise is being adapted into a live-action film by Paramount Pictures. There’s no details just yet on when the film might premiere. “We look forward to sharing more details at the appropriate time.” Despite its rocky 2020 launch, Cyberpunk 2077 has gone on to become a huge success for CD Projekt Red, with the company recently announcing that the game has surpassed more than 40 million copies sold.
