Our Verdict Lenovo's Legion 5 is a curious thing. Unfortunately, the US market no longer sports the exact spec that I have here, but its closest kin, comes in at a still respectable $1,499 (when not on offer), and features the slightly more modern Core i7 14700HX as well, which nets you some additional cores for an extra eight threads overall. File compression in particular suffers the most, scoring the lowest out of our three models here, with just 66.83 MB/s on compression, versus the 82.31 touted by Asus's TUF Gaming A16, or the 100.46 brought to bear by the Katana. Average power draw was 85 W with a clock speed of 2,678 MHz, versus the Katana's 2,305 MHz and 68 W draw.
OpenAI’s newest model, GPT-6 Astra, got so depressed after a creeper upended its progress in Minecraft that it listlessly farmed potatoes for hours and grew paranoid of anything green. Vals, a self-described independent evaluator of artificial intelligence, put Astra to the test to see how the model would fare playing Minecraft in a 21-hour experiment live streamed on Twitch. pic.twitter.com/xH2Vc4QyM2 — Vals AI (@ValsAI) September 15, 2026 It even berated itself, saying, "You can screw up and drop things,” "Our last tool stupidly ended Slabsselected/rightUP and 15sec thinking killed us,” and “Do NOT waste another night chasing dark pink pixels," which Vals noted was Astra’s “own disparaging wording for pigs.” The incident quickly went viral on social media, sparking no end of memes and remarks of “same” from users online. On September 8, one of the company’s former lead researchers announced his resignation online — along with a chilling warning to everyone about the future of AI, claiming these models will “soon be superhuman systems that can hack anything, revolutionize any field overnight, and acquire real power and resources.” US President Donald Trump, however, is of the opinion that these warnings are a “hoax,” and called AI the “oil of the next 20-25 years.” For now, at least, it's having a hard time playing Minecraft.

In recent years, the trading card game (TCG) environment has seen a boom of new games entering the market. There are still genre mainstays, like Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh!, which continue to receive support and feature a thriving secondhand market. However, new original IP TCGs like Flesh and Blood and Sorcery are making rounds at the local game store level and beyond. But licensed IP TCGs, like One Piece and the upcoming Cyberpunk TCG, have also taken the tabletop world by storm.
During last week's Gen Con, Riftbound, the League of Legends trading card game (TCG), boasted a massive presence. Fans were able to enter two different booths to get their hands on cards and exclusive merchandise, as well as meet some of the talent behind the game's creation and design. GameSpot was onsite for the show, and had the opportunity to interview Riftbound Game Director Dave Guskin, during which we learned that the team behind the popular TCG is significantly smaller that you might think. At the end of our time with Guskin, the longtime designer reflected on how the game isn't even a year old yet (referring to its English release in October of last year), saying, "It's been so wonderful to have the community grow around the game, and see what people love.

Riftbound, Riot Games' League of Legends trading card game (TCG) , recently celebrated its one-year anniversary on August 1 during GenCon. Since its launch late last year, the game's undergone dozens of changes, errata, rules updates, and even card bans. In its first of three State of the Game updates this week (and second overall this year), Riot broke down some of the biggest changes coming to Riftbound starting in January of 2027 with the release of the game's sixth set, Legacy. One was an in-depth conversation with Riftbound brass Dave Guskin, Chengran Chai, and Nik Davidson, penned by the game's Editor-in-Chief Trick Jarrett, in which they discussed how they felt about the game one year in, and some of the biggest learnings the team has experienced in that time.
Riot Games is not slowing down their support for Riftbound. As part of their celebration of the League of Legends TCG reaching its first year, the studio has announced new products alongside some details on their two upcoming sets, titled Legacy and The Reckoning. Riot Games and The First Year of Riftbound In a series of blog posts, Riot Games spoke openly about the current state of Riftbound. It contains 16 booster packs: 3 from Origins, 3 from Spiritforged, 3 from Unleashed, 3 from Vendetta, and 4 from Radiance.
Voltage’s AmuLit started strong with the otome game Even if Tempest. It’s got a strong premise and good characters, despite some launch issues. Returning to that world with a new title and more experience under the team’s belt seemed like a potential for a solid sequel. This is not just another good one!
Zed, From the Shadows is… also from Riftbound: Vendetta
Riot Games has revealed more details on Riftbound: Vendetta, the latest League of Legends card game set, showcasing new cards, mechanics, and spotlighting rivalries. Read this article on TechRaptor

Overwatch hero win-rates Taking an average across all competitive ranks (specifically based on official data from the Americas, though the results are similar in other regions), these are the top heroes by win rate right now: - Vendetta: 55.6% - Domina: 54.4% - Mizuki: 54.2% - Zenyatta: 53.1% - Doomfist: 52.9% Keep in mind that, generally speaking, characters with a lower pick rate tend to have a higher win rate across all ranks. Vendetta, for example, only has a 5.5% pick rate, while Emre has a 27.3% pick rate but a 48.3% win rate.
Overwatch has returned with the "2" now in the bin, along with a big content update with new heroes and a new lobby UI. In many ways it makes sense, Overwatch 2 never really hit the levels it was supposed to, and most of what was going to make it a sequel was never even released. Seems many players are returning to it to check it out as well, at least on Steam where we can see public numbers, it hit a new all-time peak concurrent player count of 165,651 on February 10th.
