Our Queen's Domain Guide teaches you the basics of the game, teaches you the combat system, explains status effects, tells you how to fast travel, and more! Before we get into the meat of the Queen's Domain Guide and explain the game's mechanics, we'll go over the HUD and what all of the elements mean. Queen's Domain HUD Explanation - Dagger Belt Charges: This shows how many charges you have of your currently equipped throwing weapon. - Luck: We're not 100% sure on this one, but it probably influences things like loot drop rates.
Our Verdict The G5 Max is a lightweight, comfortable gaming headset with truly stellar battery life, and for that it should be commended. While it can be tweaked, it's still a fiddly, slightly cheap-feeling beast that doesn't justify its $150 price tag. For - 305-hour battery life - Light and comfortable - Detailed drivers - Bluetooth 6.0 support Against - Boxy sound profile - Disappointing microphones - Dreadful EQ presets - Too pricey PC Gamer's got your back In the world of wireless gaming headsets, there's one spec that draws me in like a moth to a flame: battery life. Edifier G5 Max value A $150 MSRP aims this headset squarely at one of the biggest hitters in the space, the Razer BlackShark V3.

Valve feels like one of the only companies left actually trying to harness this technology for the benefit of gamers, but due to the RAM and storage crisis, it's had to price it above $1,000/£800. The Quest 3 now sits at $599, but the Steam Frame's most affordable configuration costs $1,049 / £889. If you opt for the 1TB model, you're talking $1,089 / £1,299, and although you get Half-Life: Alyx included in all of those costs, it's a dramatically more substantial price tag than the mainstream option that's been on the shelves for three years.
Maddy Makes Games removes Celeste and TowerFall from Xbox in support of pro-Palestinian BDS boycott Indie developers join the creators of Luck be a Landlord, Ice Water, and All Will Rise in removing games from Xbox Indie developer Maddy Makes Games has delisted Celeste and TowerFall from Xbox to support the pro-Palestinian Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement. According to GamesRadar, players noticed both games were removed from the platform yesterday. Maddy Thorson later confirmed this on social media. We've made this decision with the belief that meaningful change can be made in the world, that coordinated collective action can confront even the most powerful interests, and that one day, Palestine will be free." Other developers supporting the boycott include Ice Water, creator of Tenderfoot Tactics; Speculative Agency, developer of All Will Rise; and Dan Dilorio, creator of Luck be a Landlord.

If you're not fussed about that Stream Deck functionality, I'd recommend waiting for something like the Razer BlackShark V4 Pro to go on sale, or holding out for a discount on the older Logitech G502 X Plus or Razer Basilisk V3 Pro. How I tested the Corsair Nightsword V2 Wireless I used the Corsair Nightsword V2 Wireless as my daily driver for both work and evening gaming for a period of two weeks, with an additional week spent testing alongside the Razer Basilisk V4 Pro.
After the rough start that was last year's entry, Football Manager 27 is looking to bring you in with a few free days of play before the game's even out There still might be bugs, though Football Manager 27 is still a good week and ahead out from launch, but if you're quick you can already get to playing it. That's because developer Sports Interactive have released a Launch Preview version of the game that lets you take it for a kickabout before it comes out in earnest. As the devs explain in a Steam blog post, "running for the next five days, the FM27 Launch Preview will be freely playable," across all of its release platforms. This is your chance to get hands-on with the complete FM27 experience across all game modes, including Shuffle Draft, the fast-paced new multiplayer addition." One caveat worth noting is that there may be some bugs or glitches in the game that the devs "will work to address in future updates." This, understandably, may be a touchy subject for some.
With a cracking new tactical feature and dedicated UI "strike team", Football Manager 27 is a huge step back towards FM's best form Arteta tête. Welcome back, Football Manager. Football Manager 27 is a big, much-appreciated step in the right direction. He put Bruno Fernandes back in the number 10 role, reverted to a familiar 4-2-3-1 formation, gave a relatively large amount of creative freedom to more creative players, and set them up in more of a fluid counterattacking mid-block as opposed to Amorim's structured, finely-tuned high press.
Can the SideWinder Game Pad, Microsoft's first game controller, work on modern PCs? I bought three of them to find out The past and fiddly present of the Xbox controller's ancestor 1996 gave us two incredible gifts. The second, arguably more impactful on the course of human civilisation, was the Microsoft SideWinder Game Pad 1.0. Launched in 1995 with the 3D Pro and Standard joysticks, the hardware family would eventually comprise gamepads, racing wheels, a game voice device to talk with friends and vocally control your game, and a massive mouse with more buttons than my nana’s vest.

GOG's getting into publishing in its new, post-CD-Projekt life, and it already has games on the way Good… new games? Cast your mind back to January and you might remember a sit-down we had with some of the leaders of a newly-independent GOG. The DRM-free storefront had separated from its former owner—CD Projekt—and returned to the arms of its original cofounder, Michał Kiciński. But a big reason is that Retrovibe was also cofounded by Kiciński: in our January chat, he noted that he had a 50% stake in the publisher.
The 1993 first-person shooter Doom is legendary. Its place in history is both untouchable and inarguable. It started with Petersen posting a thread titled, "How Doom changed the world." He discussed his history in the video game industry prior to getting hired at id Software to work on Doom – specifically on a real-time strategy game released in 1990 called Command HQ, and how designer Danielle Bunten Berry "thought that since 65% of gamers had modems it would mostly be played head-to-head. For my part, Doom is one of my favorite games of all time, and I was fortunate to get to check off a personal and career Bucket List item by playing through the entire legendary first episode of Doom (called "Knee-Deep in the Dead") in co-op with Romero to celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2013.

A whole host of Steam PC games can now run locally on a jailbroken PlayStation 5, including Portal, Left 4 Dead 2, and many more I never thought I'd see the day. One such project is Playden for PS5, which was made publicly available earlier this month. The software has support for up to Direct3D 11 through DXVK and Direct3D 12 games through VKD3D-Proton, and includes a separate runtime kit for the graphics drivers, along with specific app shells for the games themselves.

It was a devastating gut punch when I sat down earlier this year to write about Paranormal Activity: Threshold only to discover it had been canceled and I'd missed the news. I'm not a huge fan of the movie series, though I do like the first few entries. Instead, my enthusiasm came from who was making the game: DarkStone Digital, creator of The Mortuary Assistant . I find The Mortuary Assistant to be among the scariest games ever made, and I credit much of its effectiveness to its impeccable sound design, something the found-footage series relies on, too.
