If you recently glanced at Total War: Shogun 2 and thought "gosh, lovely hip-and-gable roofs on that miniature of the temples in Kyoto, but this could really do with oh, let's say 50 additional groups of quarrelsome swordsmen", then congratulations, Creative Assembly are adding "50+" minor factions in Total War: Shogun 2 Complete Edition, an all-in-one remaster hamper due to launch on 13th October via Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store and GOG. This fancified and expanderised, 64-bit edition of the 2011 strategy game will include both the Rise and the Fall of the Samurai DLC expansions, together with updated lighting, shadows and textures. Also: "modernised controls", which makes me frown a little in the absence of details, together with 1440p and 4K UI scaling, and Japanese and Chinese voice acting and localisation.

It looks like Final Fantasy 7 Revelation boss Naoki Hamaguchi has plenty on his plate at the moment – not only is he working to get Part 3 of the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy out the door, he's also "pushing" Kingdom Hearts 4 "forward." As part of the latest media rounds for FF7: Revelation, Hamaguchi has been speaking to the press once more – you can read our own Final Fantasy 7 Revelation hands-on and interview here. As part of all of that chatter, Hamaguchi delves into what next year looks like for Square Enix, and it's a busy one. "In terms of Square Enix and 2027, our President, Takashi Kiryu, says that next year is the big fight back for us, where everything turns around," he tells Deadline. "And obviously, between Final Fantasy 7 Revelation and Kingdom Hearts 4, those are massive titles that are going to push that.

For starters, the original chair, which retails for around $1,000, does not need a yet more premium price. The new Omni Pro's even more ludicrous price of $1,109 is undeniably absurd for an office chair of any kind, and it makes it hard for me to recommend it to you.
While Nintendo and SynSophia sort of made a name for bigger-name dress-up games outside of Japan with the Style Savvy / Wagamama Fashion: Girls Mode series, FuRyu and Racjin do a similar thing with its Nicola Kanshuu / Model Debut line. As you’d expect, it’s also about picking out the best looks for the right situations, though with a greater focus on the modeling side of the business. Model Debut4 is the latest entry that again prioritizes getting to play dress-up, with a few general quality of life adjustments to keep things interesting. Hair styles are still a bit more limited and feel like they aren’t really considering curl types beyond 2a, 2b, and 2c and no body type adjustments are available so everyone has the same shape, but it does feel like the beginnings of more inclusive options.

Hopefully by now you've seen Zelda: Ocarina of Time in action on the Switch 2, and if you're anything like us, you were quite simply blown away by the sheer leap in visual quality when compared to the original . To really demonstrate just how much the remake improves upon the N64 game, the lovely chaps over at GVG have provided a side-by-side comparison of the two games. Essentially, the same footage from Eiji Aonuma's gameplay demonstration is shown, but with similar footage from the N64 original playing next to it. Read the full article on nintendolife.com
Zach Cregger says he’d love to tell more stories in the Resident Evil universe, admitting he already has "ideas" about where he'd take things in a second film. Cregger’s Resident Evil movie releases on September 18, 2026. It’s a decidedly different take on Capcom’s flagship horror franchise that tells a totally original tale, following an average Joe who’s forced to navigate the chaos of the Raccoon City Incident. This is a different situation." Thankfully, Resident Evil is already shaping up to have the most successful movie launch in the franchise’s history; early predictions suggest the horror flick could earn $40M – $50M during its opening weekend, potentially outearning any other movie adaptation of the game series.
The White House launches online 'arcade' with its own takes on Tetris and other popular games, and it's as rotten as you'd expect The arcade currently includes games based on Tetris, Flappy Bird, and Snake, and of course a healthy dose of racism and pro-Trump propaganda. The White House, the epicenter of power in the most powerful nation in human history, has rolled out a new online arcade on its website. And yes, it is every bit as racist, repugnant, and creatively bankrupt as you'd expect. 2026 games: All the upcoming games Best PC games: Our all-time favorites Free PC games: Freebie fest Best FPS games: Finest gunplay Best RPGs: Grand adventures Best co-op games: Better together Andy has been gaming on PCs from the very beginning, starting as a youngster with text adventures and primitive action games on a cassette-based TRS80.
Age Twisters is a simple yet charming spin on the co-op adventure that aims to feel like watching a Pixar movie The puzzles won't stump you, but Piccolo Studios says they're not supposed to. As I'm making my way through the beginning of two-player co-op adventure Age Twisters alongside the founders of developer Piccolo Studios, I'm told the goal was to create a game that evokes the same feelings as watching a Pixar movie with your child. Now I am admittedly sprogless, but it wasn't difficult to latch onto those similar fuzzy feelings of nostalgia and familial love even as I completed puzzles alongside a man I'd only met minutes prior. Age Twisters is the studio's attempt at a game like It Takes Two or Split Fiction, albeit much lower on the toughness scale—something which the developer itself admits, instead going for a game that's constantly evolving and different rather than outright difficult.

Though there's every chance the plain black insides are what help keep the Orzly Carrying Case and all its many color options so affordable at $29.99, and less when there are sales abound. If you're light on space enough as it is, the PowerA Slim Case is going to be a better fit, and it's $19.99 / £9.99, so it's even cheaper too. How I tested the Orzly Carrying Case for the Nintendo Switch 2 For this review, I was sent three different colorways of the Orzly Carrying Case for the Nintendo Switch 2 to sample, but I spent most of my time testing out the black version.
Alienware aims at 'more price points people can actually reach,' announces a tandem OLED gaming monitor at a much lower price than our current top pick *Squinting* The future looks bright. Alienware, Dell's gaming sub-brand that will be celebrating its 30th birthday in October, has unveiled two rather lovely OLED gaming monitors that both feature LG's tandem OLED tech delivering better than ever brightness. Co-designed with 4-peat World of Warcraft Race to World First champions Team Liquid, McGowan said that "Every detail [of this OLED has been] informed by how pros actually set-up and compete." Pricing and release details for the AW2527HX OLED will be announced in early 2027. For a start, I can already tell you it's a 32-inch 4K OLED that will arrive this Autumn, and will set you back about $699.
'Sidequests are almost my reason for doing videogames in the first place:' The dev behind one of the coolest upcoming RPGs says its word count is ballooning because they just love side stories so much You won't see me complaining The early access RPG Entropy would be cool enough in a vacuum: Experimental, JRPG-style combat in a bizarre, fallen world. But it's also a second outing from the devs of one of my favorite RPGs in recent memory, Dread Delusion. Dread Delusion was a first-person homage to the Elder Scrolls that, true to its inspirations, had some absolutely killer sidequests, like an ethical dilemma surrounding vegetarian zombies or a seemingly Blade Runner 2049-inspired investigation into a person erased from history (and their loved ones' memories). Just being able to meet a strange character and ask them some stupid questions is incredibly rewarding as a player." Entropy is out now on Steam in early access for the very reasonable price of $12/£8.99, and it also has a quite generous demo that won me over to the game months ago.
What we've been playing - "Forget the classics: remaster the duds" A few of the things that have us hooked this week. 29th August Hello and welcome back to our regular feature where we write a little about the games we've been playing. This week, Kelsey didn't have to sacrifice a limb to play Elden Ring for the first time again; Bertie mucks around in the Prancing Pony with edgy Aragorn; and the rest of the team travels back from Germany. Elden Ring, Switch 2 I've already written at length about the opening hours of my experience with Elden Ring on the Nintendo Switch 2, and spoilers in case you've not read it yet, but it's not half-bad.
The Pokemon Company International has appointed series veteran James Turner as the new creative director of Pokemon art and design. Turner shared the news on Twitter. The people of video games on what gives them cause for hope "Forget trodden down, I think our future sees a beautiful revolution." Hello and welcome to one of our final pieces for Optimism Week here on Eurogamer. This time, we've turned to the industry itself for some answers, and as such I'm going to do my best to get out of the way as quickly as possible. "The bundle ended this morning, as of this writing, and we managed to raise more than $250,000 in two weeks. Look at this year's breakthrough hits… Mewgenics, 007 First Light, Crimson Desert, Pragmata, Subnautica 2, Forza Horizon 6, Meccha Chameleon, Pokemon Pokopia, Resident Evil Requiem, Slay The Spire 2… the variety is incredible.
As a hardware reviewer, over the years I’ve been sent top-tier CPUs and graphics cards, letting me bounce from one flagship to the next. That’s made me lazy at game settings. With an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D and PowerColor Red Devil RX 7900 XTX, I have one of the fastest gaming CPUs on the market and the fastest graphics card AMD has ever made. Don’t look on in envy at the people spending $5,000 on a graphics card in 2026.

When it comes to gaming you're looking at 1080p performance that is around 94-95% that of the top of the class, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D of Zen 5 fame, and that means frame rates at the same sort of levels as the 7800X3D. 1080p gaming performance We test games at 1080p to ensure variance between CPU performance is captured Synthetic gaming performance We run the industry standard 3DMark test to get a guage of general gaming CPU performance 3DMark Time Spy The benefits of the 3D V-Cache lump bonded to the 7700X3D's CCD, however, are most clearly demonstrated by the differences in gaming performance between this newer chip and the older Ryzen 7 7700X.
