Roblox players may soon be able to find their next game by simply describing what they want, but the reported AI-powered update has already divided the community. There are countless games, officially known as experiences, available across Roblox. That variety is one of the platform’s biggest strengths, but it can also make finding something new feel overwhelming unless players already know the exact title they want. To make discovery easier, Roblox is reportedly testing an AI-assisted game search feature that would understand broader requests and recommend relevant experiences.
Steam's latest beta brings 'Big Art' to Big Picture Mode and Steam Deck, and customizable screensavers too The update makes a number of less flashy changes too. If you play on a Steam Deck, or just rock with Big Picture Mode on your PC, the latest Steam client beta will be of big interest: It adds a new "Big Art Mode" that makes your home screen look a whole lot prettier (this is a subjective evaluation, yes, but I think it's prettier), a new screensaver feature, and a range of performance improvements and bug fixes. There are two screensavers available: - General - Improved Steam Client startup performance - Fixed a case where after server maintenance some users might fail to auto-reconnect to Steam - Fixed bug where being prompted to refresh credentials more than once could trigger an immediate restart - On Windows, using the systray menu to exit while the Steam window is minimized will no longer flash the window visible briefly - Dialogs that appear for serious error conditions now stay above the main window - Game Recording - Fixed some cases where playback would jump to an unexpected point in the timeline when reaching the end of a play session or clip - Decreased performance impact of game recording for some D3D12 games on Windows - In-Game Overlay - Fixed frame rate hitches in D3D11 and D3D12 games when taking screenshots on Windows - Fixed rendering the overlay and using other overlay related features (screenshots, game recording, etc.) in Vulkan games that create multiple windows. - Big Picture Mode - Added explicit warning text to power menu confirmation dialogs when proceeding will shut down an active game - Updated default artwork when an app does not have library or hero artwork - Reorganized the idle timer settings when on battery and AC power - Steam Input - Improved CPU performance at runtime and in configuration loading - Added information about which configurations are compatible in the configurator browser when using a game that requires Steam Input API - Fixed the controller support widget showing "This game doesn't support controllers" for unreleased games that don't have controller support information yet - Fixed controllers not using the desktop configuration on the desktop UI login window - Added the missing settings for adjusting emulated joystick adaptive centering on trackpad - Linux - Improved download speeds on high latency connections.
Double Fine's famous game jam returns with 26 new ideas and a promise to make Brutal Legend 2, if its Kickstarter stretch goal is met The Amnesia Fortnight Kickstarter blew past its goal in just two days, but getting a new Brutal Legend is going to be a whole different pile of money One happy upside to Double Fine's newly-regained independence is the return of Amnesia Fortnight, the semi-regular in-house game jam in which everyone stops what they're doing and spends two weeks pitching and developing prototypes for new games. The 2026 edition of the event—seemingly the first since Microsoft acquired Double Fine in 2019—launched a Kickstarter campaign on August 31, and its $400,000 goal has already been surpassed. At the $15 tier, for instance, your vote only counts for half, but at $30 you get a full vote—and if you go up to $60, your vote is doubled—a single vote cast counts for two! No, not really: Never say never and all that, but Shenmue 3 was (and as far as I know still is) the most-funded videogame project in Kickstarter history, and it finished with $6.3 million.
Developer Cold Symmetry continues to tinker with Mortal Shell 2 , recently dropping a massive update that makes some substantial changes to its latest souls-like action-RPG. Alongside buffing certain weapons and fixing some glitches, the team has also addressed the game's greedy economy by making a few finite resources more plentiful around the world. Steam Week in Review: A torrent of janky retail sims continues to flood Steam, and there's no end in sight All the interesting Steam facts for the week ending July 26. The flood of retail simulators on Steam is nothing new: the trend seemed to land with torrential force in late 2024. Two of the retail sims released last week—Model Kit Shop Simulator and Wild West Miner Simulator: First Gun—were published by the aforementioned PlayWay, which published four games between July 20 and now. According to SteamDB the publisher has 474 products on Steam, but well over 100 of those haven't been released yet: there's lots of TBAs and Soons among the Q1 2027s and vague 2026s.
Now in its 12th year, The Sims 4 just keeps chugging along, dropping two or three new major DLC expansions each year with no indication it'll stop any time soon. Heck, Maxis just an auto-save function to The Sims 4 for the first time--I've been using a mod for auto-saves for so long that may have forgotten it wasn't a native feature. Advertisement Cupid's Corner - No Wait Time Creator: NerdyDoll Download link: CurseForge DLC required: Lovestruck The Lovestruck expansion added a Tinder-esque dating app to The Sims 4 called Cupid's Corner, but it came with a really irritating restriction: You can only view five matches at a time, and you can only refresh your matches once per in-game day.
KAIZEN's cursed technique system is all about progression and farming across Grade 4, 3, 2, 1 and Special. Related: KAIZEN Clan Tier List S-Tier Cursed Techniques S-Tier CTs Ranking Reasons King Curses Special Grade • The highest DPS potential of all CTs, especially with the Sukuna Clan • Best for both PVE and PVP now that Limitless is a bit weaker • Fuga/Divine Flame and the Domain have massive AOE damage that hits everything • That said, requires a ton of grinding for the base version and farming Domain Shards for the Domain • Just be careful of using the Sukuna Clan with this in PVP because the Clan ability is punishable due to animation lag Idle Transfiguration Special Grade • Up there with King Curses as the top 2 best CTs in the game • Really strong against humanoid enemies due to the grabs • Has a lot of PVE and PVP flexible moves with both single target and AOE damage • I would go for Idle over King Curses if you don't want to grind as much since IT is easier to farm and strong without Domain too A-Tier Cursed Techniques A-Tier CTs Ranking Reasons Limitless Special Grade • Still has good burst damage and a decent domain so it's good for PVE • That said Limitless isn't top-tier anymore in terms of DPS and the domain is a bit weaker than before • Still a great choice but there are cheaper options that are just as good and also stronger options Blood Manipulation Grade 1 • A bit tricky to farm for Grade 1 standards since you have to grind Choso raid • That said it's really strong for a kiting playstyle where you try to outrange your opponent • The R can deal a ton of damage on a full hit and the Clan ability heal plus speed buff are quite good for PVP • Plus it's just really safe to play for PVE too due to great range • Not as strong as Finger Bearer DPS wise or S-Tiers but a valid flexibile option for PVE/PVP Finger Bearer Grade 1 • Really easy to farm option that deals excellent damage • Excellent for maining mid to late game until you get King Curses or Idle • Leans more toward PVE with its damage burst but it's decent for PVP as well Straw Doll Grade 2 • Really underrated due to being Grade 2 but it's actually an incredible farming tool • One of the best things to rush in PVE • The V is your main tool for immobilization and comboing with Melee/Swords • Just an overall excellent supporting moveset that will carry you into the late game • That said the moves are a bit weak DPS-wise so combo it with a good fighting style or weapon Shock Amplification Grade 2 • Shock Amplification is another excellent PVE farming tool due to high damage and being easy-to-get • Cryofrost is better for PVP so SA is strictly for farming and progression • Once you get higher-tier CTs switch to them but SA will carry you there B-Tier Cursed Techniques B-Tier CTs Ranking Reasons Cryofrost Grade 1 • A bit weak for PVE due to lower damage than the higher tiers • However, it's extremely good for PVP due to massive combo potential • In fact, Cryofrost probably has some of the best PVP combos in the game • I put it in B-Tier for its specific use since it's not as flexibile Rot Grade 1 • Much weaker than Cryofrost but still an okay PVE option • Don't use it in PVP though C-Tier Cursed Techniques C-Tier CTs Ranking Reasons Cursed Speech Grade 3 • With the rework it's actually quite good for PVE farming • The moves deal great damage and there's some PVP potential too mid-game with the Clan ability enhanced hitbox • That said it gets outclassed by Cryofrost and higher tiers later on D-Tier Cursed Techniques D-Tier CTs Ranking Reasons Devil's Broom Grade 3 • Decent utility with this one but overall weak • Note that the M1s scale with Weapon stats Construction Grade 4 • An okay CT when you're starting out for progression • Switch it out when you can Cloning Technique Grade 4 • Probably the weakest CT in the entire game Boogie Woogie Grade 3 • Okay to have as a mobility tool on a Weapon or Melee build • Otherwise it's horrible to focus on KAIZEN Cursed Technique FAQ What is the best Cursed Technique and Clan in KAIZEN?
Stone Story Ascension was recently revealed as the full standalone follow-up to the impressive Stone Story RPG. What makes it interesting is not just the animated ASCII artwork, but you don't have direct control over the character. It pulls in elements from different genres like idle games, but there's various ways you do have to interact with it like planning resources, equipment and where to explore as you follow the story and watch the game open up as you adventure. It has already reached the initial $10,000 goal with 24 days left.
