Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios and COO of Marvel, has given a heartfelt response to the death of acclaimed actor Sir Patrick Stewart. Stewart, best known for his roles as Jean Luc Picard in Star Trek and Charles Xavier in Marvel’s X-Men films, died on Wednesday, October 28 following a brief battle with Alzheimer's and Lewy Body Dementia. Ian McKellen 29 October 2026 Photo: University of Huddersfield David Hayter, who wrote the 2000's X-Men movie, also shared a post remembering Stewart. Marvel fans have gathered online to grieve together, with many quoting a line from Stewart’s Charles Xavier: “Just because someone stumbles and loses their way, it doesn't mean they're lost forever.” In lieu of flowers, Stewart’s family urged friends and fans to donate to the Johns Hopkins Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center Fund and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America Caregiver Resources.
Any reminder of Red Dead Redemption 2 's temperature sensitive horse testicles brings a smile to my face. In truth, I can't say I've ever zoomed in close enough to properly take in the spectacle of Arthur Morgan's mount having its nuts dynamically expand and contract based on whether he's riding through snowy mountains or across baking plains, but I do always get a kick out of knowing such a thing's happening as I play. To this point, the horse balls have been the most infamous or meme-worthy example of Rockstar's obsession with going all-in on realistic detail to an arguably unnecessary degree, one that borders on overindulgence which players could conceivably never notice if they weren't expressly told about it. That philosophy's gone nowhere, so GTA 6 was always going to have a feature that'd become as much of a metaphor for excess as those beloved balls.
The indie RPG Arthurian based game Legends of the Round Table has announced a neat update today - that you'll be able to turn your savefile in the Arthurian adventure into a medieval style book. In the game, most things are presented in a Medieval style, often like illustrated manuscripts (though far better on faces), similar to how Pentiment did a lot of its visuals in Obsidian's seminal work. In Legends of the Round Table though, instead of being in a medieval monastery and town, you are leading the knights of the round table in various grand adventures and wars across the realm from Camelot, with them drawing on various Arthurian legends, as well as tales of chivalry in general. Because of how the developers designed the game, and have now reformatted save files, it can be exported into a PDF form that is a story telling essentially your tale of Arthurian myth and legend.
Rockstar has finally given us the launch trailer for GTA 6 ahead of its November 19 release date, and it looks spectacular . Grand Theft Auto 3 (2001) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUi3davvBmM Nobody expected Grand Theft Auto 3 to revolutionize the medium when it first launched for PS2 back in 2001. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTxmx0SG0qU Coming just a year later, Vice City was a profound evolution of everything GTA 3 did well and then some. Grand Theft Auto 5 (2013) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvoD7ehZPcM The launch trailer for GTA 5 is awfully similar to what Rockstar just dished out with GTA 6.
GTA 6 squeaks into eligibility for The Game Awards 2026 by the smallest of margins - but can it break Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's record number of wins? This generation's mega-game, Grand Theft Auto 6, will be eligible for The Game Awards 2026 by a matter of one day. As highlighted on X by industry watcher Shinobi602, the cut-off date for this year's The Game Awards is 20th November, meaning GTA 6 - which arrives on 19th November - can be nominated across the show's various categories in 2026 and can potentially win. Rewind to Rockstar's last big release - Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018 - and that game took home four awards: Best Narrative, Best Audio Design, Best Score/Music, and Best Performance (won by Roger Clark for his portrayal of protagonist Arthur Morgan).
Rockstar are "confident" that GTA 7 won't take another eight years, despite similar promises of greater efficiency seemingly having come with Red Dead Redemption 2 The studio feel they'll be able to "go more sideways than upwards" Future Rockstar games won't take as long to make as GTA 6 has, the studio leadership currently behind the series have asserted, saying they're "confident" work that's gone into this latest game will allow them to build "more sideways than upwards" going forwards. That's despite Red Dead Redemption 2 seemingly having been viewed in a similar light when Rockstar opted to put everyone on getting over the line rather than developing GTA 6 concurrently. Phil Hooker, one of three veteran Rockstar developers who've served as heads of development on the new Impressive Nicking Vehicles, has asserted as much to Bloomberg as part of a lengthy article on the making of the game. Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser has recalled the controversial ending to 2010's Red Dead Redemption in which the main character, John Marston, is killed. He said in an interview that the game's lead designer, Christian Cantamessa was on board with the idea to kill off Marston, but Houser wondered about the production realities of, "How does an open-world game work if you've killed the protagonist?" "So I said, ‘I think maybe we have to kill him.’ And he goes, ‘That's a great idea. Got to do it.’ I said, ‘I don't know if… let me just think about this,’ because we're just dealing with audio and dialogue," Houser told IGN "The nature of an open-world game is you finish a story, then you go back into the world and wrap up all the side content if you want to. His brother, Sam Houser, remains at Rockstar and helped lead the team bringing GTA 6 to market on November 19.
Resident Evil has always been huge with gamers, but Resident Evil Requiem is the biggest-selling installment yet. For Fall Fan Fest 2026, IGN spoke to the actors behind Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy, Angela Sant'Albano and Nick Apostolides, about their experiences creating their characters and what they've made of the enthusiastic, and sometimes feral, fan reaction since launch. "It was hard to sum up what those guys were about to get into," said Apostolides of his role as a series veteran, having starred in the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 4 and Netflix's Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.

What I reckon makes the Konkr Pocket Block stand out is what it's offering for $79 compared to the Anbernic RG35XX Plus (arguably its closest rival at $59.97), as its Helio G85 CPU should cover a lot of retro console emulation ground in a 113.2 x 77.4mm. The base model pairs the MediaTek chip with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage, but you can soup things up to 3GB and 64GB for $99. That's already something some of the absolute cheapest handhelds, like the Anbernic RG28XX, can pull off using a Dual-core Mali-G31, but I suspect you'll be doing more on this device's 960 x 720 3.33-inch display.
Weeks before GTA 6, Rockstar Games imposes new guidelines that restrict mods for missions, maps, updated storylines, and third-party IP "Respect our games." Ahead of the bottomless GTA 6 mods we'll surely get whenever the crime epic finally comes to PC, Rockstar Games has imposed new restrictions on the modding community and, boy, they are tight. "Rockstar Games is the home of the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption series, and other titles," the studio reminds us in its mod guidelines, which were updated earlier this month and spread around the internet more recently. "To maintain a fun, creative, and welcoming place for players and content creators, we encourage everyone to keep the following in mind." The developer's first rule is to "respect our games." That means modders can no longer "expand or modify Rockstar Games' official storylines, plots, missions, characters, or other elements of our established continuity." Modders are also not allowed to combine maps or assets or characters from one Rockstar game with another - Arthur Morgan appearing in Vice City is probably a no-no, then. "Multiplayer modding is limited to Rockstar Games' official licensed Creator Platform or else as otherwise licensed directly by Rockstar Games," it added.
Actor Roger Clark played Arthur Morgan in Rockstar's celebrated 2018 Western Red Dead Redemption 2, and his performance was memorable for many reasons. In the game, Arthur suffers from tuberculosis, and he coughs a lot as a result. Was it challenging for Clark to perform those sequences in particular? Clark told Cade Onder that he had "five years to spread it out," regarding his voice-capture performance in Red Dead 2, and that's part of the reason why it wasn't as difficult as you might imagine.
Starfinder: Afterlight, a CRPG based on one of my favourite systems that pulled in almost $1 million on Kickstarter, is starting to look ship-shape Plus, BG3's Neil Newbon voices an insect priest. I've been keeping a close eye on Starfinder: Afterlight for a few reasons—firstly, I'm a Pathfinder 2e sicko, and Starfinder 2e works on a ton of the same rules. After getting a surprising €828,164 (around $960,000) funded out of a humble €75,000 ask on Kickstarter, the game managed to snag Red Dead Redemption's Arthur Morgan for its narration. 2026 games: All the upcoming games Best PC games: Our all-time favorites Free PC games: Freebie fest Best FPS games: Finest gunplay Best RPGs: Grand adventures Best co-op games: Better together Harvey's history with games started when he first begged his parents for a World of Warcraft subscription aged 12, though he's since been cursed with Final Fantasy 14-brain and a huge crush on G'raha Tia.
When Arthur Morgan contracts tuberculosis near the beginning of Red Dead Redemption 2, you're supposed to feel sad. Arthur's a good guy with a troubled past, and he's the hero of the story. Him getting a death sentence right at the start of his journey is all bad news, but from here on out I'll only be able to react to his increasingly labored coughing fits with disgust, because now I know actor Roger Clark was actually hacking up a phlegm-filled lung in real life while recording some of those scenes. Asked by YouTuber and games journalist Cade Onder if Arthur Morgan's coughing fits were taxing on the actor's throat, Clark says those scenes were "not as bad as you'd think" because they were spread out over five years and "if ever there was a really bad coughing scene, we'd always save it for the end of the day." That's good, but it turns out there was some serious method acting going on beyond the scenes that will forever alter how I react to Arthur Morgan's illness.
Grand Theft Auto has always had a complicated relationship with women. For decades, it’s been known as the series where you can visit a strip club, hire a sex worker, and swiftly beat her to death in the nearest alley. Violence against women in virtual settings praised for their unflinching realism is frequently turned into a punchline players are expected to chuckle at again and again and again. But with the arrival of player character Lucia Caminos in the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 later this year, Rockstar has an opportunity to completely redefine the franchise’s problematic dynamic with women and potentially introduce one of the strongest female protagonists this medium has ever seen--but we all know that sticking the landing is easier said than done.
Grand Theft Auto 6's controversial refuelling action reportedly takes about 10 seconds to perform, which Rockstar's co-studio head says is 'pretty fast for a fill-up' Every new Rockstar game is more simulation-heavy than the last, and Grand Theft Auto 6 aims to bring players closer to real-life in a variety of ways. One of these is the addition of vehicle refuelling, which will require players to stop off at gas stations (or petrol stations if you're a Brit like me) and watch your disposable income vanish in a stream of fossilised plant matter. This mechanical tweak has proved somewhat controversial among Grand Theft Auto players, with some believing that refuelling cars will be inconvenient and interrupt the flow of driving and shooting the series is built upon.
